PART 2 : REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES

Last June I shared about the first part of my Real Techniques brushes and today I will be sharing with you the Part 2 of my Real techniques brushes which consist of Individual Brushes like:

Powder Brush
 Expert Face Brush
 Shading Brush
Stippling Brush
Blush Brush

(LtoR : Shading brush, Expert face Brush, Stippling Brush, Blush Brush, Powder Brush)

Drugstore.com is on sale when I purchased this brushes so some of them are discounted but I also include the retail prices as well.

Let's start with the Powder Brush. It's the biggest brush ever! It's also unbelievably soft. This is why Real techniques amaze me the bristles of their brushes are so soft. Comparing it to my Sigma F20 Large Powder brush I would prefer the Real technique's because of it's softness. You know the feeling of scratchy bristles on your face when using some brushes? you will never feel on this Powder Brush. Even a friend of mine who visited us once and saw my brushes and she played with my brushes and she said it's a very soft  brush that cradle her to sleep. The handle are still designed the way as other brushes do and the handle is yellow since it's grouped on the "The Base" brushes. I bought it for USD 5.00 with discount. But it retails for USD 10.00. I really recommend this brushes. If you want to try Real techniques you better get your hands on this.

Expert Face Brush. This is the brush that I really wanted to try from Real Techniques that's why I bought 2 of them. I love my Sigma F84 Angled Kabuki brush and that's the only foundation brush I used for applying my foundation so I'm a bit skeptical to try this maybe I will not like it or not but then when I actually try it. It really works great. It applies my foundation very well with out living streaks. My only concern about this one is that it's small for my big face so it requires more time for application and blending but I still love using it. I already used it for my liquid and powder foundation and both of them works well. I bought this for USD4.50 but the retail price is USD 8.99.

Shading Brush. This brush is grouped on the "Your Eyes" brushes so the handle are purple. I can say that this is the perfect size of shading brush for me, for my eyelids. I used it for packing colors on my lids if I want to build the colors and show up more. It's also nice when you do smokey look and smudge some colors on your lower lids. However I don't grab it much compared to my other real techniques brush. I don't know why. Though I used it for smokey look but for everyday I don't. I bought it for USD 3.00 and retails for USD 5.99.

Stippling Brush. This brush is grouped on the "Your Finish" that's why the handle is pink. I tried this for applying highlighter on the top of my cheeks and it works really well. I also tried using it with a tinted moisturizer and a MAC face and body foundation and it also works great. However again for my big face I't was quite a bit challenge for me when it comes to application and blending. But I think if you have a small framed face this will work for you. I bought it for its retail price of  USD9.99.

And lastly the Blush Brush!!!! This brush is AMAZING!!! like the Powder brush it's one of the softest brush Real techniques have. I love playing with it and just love sweeping it around my face. Hands down perfect blush brush. It applies great packs the product so well and blends the product perfectly. One of the brushes I recommend getting. I sometimes use it also for applying bronzer on my face and still works great. I bought this for it's original retail price of USD8.99.

Hope you find it interesting and helpful. If you want to try this brushes check out Drugstore.com or the Real techniques website.

JUNE FAVORITES

Another month had passed so quickly and every June I'm thinking that it's a half way to Christmas.. you'll never realize it's already December and you're pulling out your decorations :)

I love Summer because you tend to play with colors and wear colorful stuff like clothes, bags, shoes, nail polish and makeup. Neon is in this year but because of my complexion I'm kinda avoiding them. I love pastel though and that's what I'm wearing most of the time during spring season and summer right now I'm exploring with bright  lipsticks:)

So here's my favorites for the month of June with lotsa colors:)

1. MAC Face and Body - I had been using this since I bought this. It's a very lightweight foundation so it's good for Summer and hot weather because I always switch up to a lightweight foundation during summer because I can't justify why wearing a full coverage foundation when after 2 hours all is running down your face. I also have a review on this foundation if you wanna see an in depth review about MAC Face & Body Foundation.

2. RT Expert Face Brush - I'd been using this brush everyday to apply my foundation. I had been using my F84 Angled Kabuki Brush from Sigma which is also a good brush for applying foundation so when the RT Expert Face Brush arrived on my doorstep I'd been comparing them. For now i'm really impressed with this brush. It's so soft and blends the foundation so well with out leaving a streaks. If you want to see more information regarding this brush click here.

3. Burts Bees Refreshing Lipbalm with Pink Grapefruit - I bought this lipbalm during our honeymoon last May in Hong Kong for 45HKD. I heard so many good thing about this so I decided to try it out. I never been a fan of lip balm I feel so lazy applying them but when I had this I'm absolutely addicted with it. I can't stop myself from applying it from time to time. I think it's because of the scent. I can say it wasn't that moisturizing at all but it's just so addictive. So I ask my dad to buy me more in and give it to my sister when she fly to Hong Kong. I use it before applying my lipstick and it's sheers the lipstick application a bit.

4. Maybelline Vivid Lipstick in Shocking Coral - Ohhh! This is interesting. It's June so it's DSS (Dubai Summer Sale) where most of the stores are on sale with really good discounts. So when my friends and I passed by a store called Lifestyle and checked out some lip products I saw this on the Maybelline shelf and was so shocked with the colors. I never grabbed this color at first because it's quite "shocking" like I know from then it will not suit my complexion so I bough the Vivid Rose and Hot Plum which is so gorgeous as well. Then when I went home and check some reviews on the you tube I saw a lot of people likes the shocking coral so I went to the mall to check the color again and still have the same impression from the day before so I just bought it together with the Neon Red and then my husband complemented it so it was a surprise. My husband btw complemented my lipstick just twice since we'd been together and that's the Angel from MAC and this lipstick and he bought me one more from this collection it's called Electric Orange.

5. MAC Highland Honey Blush (limited edition) - This blush is a limited edition from the Tartan Tale collection. I love wearing this blush during summer because it gives me a nice summery glow that I like. It's a peachy orange color with a little sheen to it. I love peaches blush and really complements my skin. Whenever I wear this blush I feel like it was so natural and I feel so happy whenever I wear it. It's like the feeling when you're wearing something like your favorite color dress or even your favorite dress and it makes you happy, That's the same feeling when I'm wearing this blush. It's just lovely!

6. MAC Select Cover up Concealer in NW25 - I had been using this for quite a long time now and I haven't reviewed this yet. This is a great concealer perhaps the second to my list of wonderful concealer I had ever used. It's stays there and never moved till I end my day. I can say it's great for normal to oily skin but not to dry skin. If you're a normal to oily and looking for a great concealer that cover's well then you should give this a try.

7. Burjois Eyeliner in Bronze - I had been obsess with this eyeliner for a long time and now I can't find it anywhere it makes me feel sad because this is my go to eyeliner whenever I feel lazy on doing my eyes I just smudge this on my lids and make a thick line near the lash lines, up and down. So this might be my last Bronze eyeliner.

8. Revlon Grow Lash Mascara - When I bought this mascara for my wedding last November I never was impressed with it because it's very liquidy but the more I used it the more it becomes dry the more I'm liking it. This is a good mascara I can say it holds up curls so well and gives your lashes a volume. I like this mascara compared to my Benefit they're real mascara.

9. Rimmel Eye Brow Pencil in Brown - I had been struggling with looking for an eyebrow pencil to replace my Define a Brow from Maybelline which was discontinued. This is a descent Eye brow pencil but I'm still in the search of an eyebrow pencil that I will feel in love with. I hate the waxy feeling of some eyebrow pencils and most of those eyebrow pencil on the market now is waxy. This Rmmel on the other hand is not as waxy as the other but the color doesn't match my eyebrow so what I do is put my Missha Eyebrow kit on top of it.   Until I find something that I love, for now I'm going to stick with this.

10. Clinique Happy Perfume - I had a problem with perfumes and I can't stop buying perfume if  I smell something that I like I'm absolutely taking it. But there are few perfumes that I kept on repurchasing this is one of them. Most of us love this scent and I think because it's something that's not so overpowering it's just a calm scent. Scent that will make you "happy" hahahaha! I'm really bad in describing scents.

Random Favorites for the month

1. The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts - This book has been on my Kindle for quite some time now so I decided to start reading it and it's nice it's not. I just like the attitude of each person in this book. Plus there is a mystery ghost involved in this book. I can say It's a simple story and a book that you can read when you feel you wanna be loved.

2. Loose Sleeveless - I had been loving this kind of tops where it's big and loose and has a big arm hole where you need to were a spaghetti strap underneath or a nice bra however you can't to that here because you have to follow the rules and you can't wear revealing clothes here. So if you want to wear something like this you have to wear something underneath to avoid more skin showing up. But this is a good summery clothes it's not tight and it just feel so light and comfortable to wear.

3. Lacnor Juices - I don't drink sodas anymore unless there's nothing to drink than a soda but as much as possible I am avoiding it so it's either I drink Juice or water. So this month I decided to start drinking more juices so I kept on stocking juices on my fridge and whenever I feel like I wanted something sweet after a meal I grab a juice instead of chocolates which keeps me away from consuming unreasonable bar of chocolates because I'm also trying to cut away some sweets.

So that's all my favorites for this month I hope you guys enjoyed it :)
will blog soon:)

PART 1: REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES

I finally got my hands on some brushes to try from Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman. I had been watching and loving Pixiwoo for a very long time and was so curious with their line of brushes. I'd been using Sigma brushes and Bobbi Brown for so long now and I'm so excited to try the Real Techniques.

They claim you'll be pixel perfect even in harsh light I don't about that yet, We'll see in a few months after using it. Their brushes are made from synthetic taklon bristles and hand-cut. When you brush it on your face you can feel the softness of the brush specially the blush brush and the powder brush. Their brushes comes in pink, yellow and purple colored that I'm so drawn because they're nice colors not the usual black and silver. It has aluminum handles that are so light and comfortable to hold. Pink are for finishing like blushers, bronzers, powder for everything you do for perfecting your look. Now the Yellow are for the base which are foundations, primer, moisturizer and concealer. The Purple are for eyes like eyeshadows, eyeliner, base eyeshadow, eyebrow and everything that will make your eye makeup perfect.

I ordered it online from drugstore.com last Thursday 13th of June and received it through Shop and Ship by Aramex last tuesday 18th of June. It was pretty amazing how fast they shipped my orders, that's why when I want something I ordered it from drugstore.com. There's a promotion going on for buy one get the second 50% off so I grab the opportunity and ordered the brushes. I ordered the Travel Essentials set, Starter Set, Shader Brush, Stippling Brush, Powder brush, Blush Brush and 2 Expert face brush.

I will be giving you my impression about the brushes in 2 parts. First the sets and for the next entry it will be the individual brushes. Let's start with the sets.

Here's the packaging of the Travel Essentials and how they look like when you opened it. It consist of
3 full size brushes and a black panoramic brush case this is a well thought of case because it can stand on it's own when you pull the string in the case. It cost USD17.99 in drugstore.com but I bought it for 9USD after the 50% off.

The brushes are
Essential Foundation Brush (yellow handle)
Multi- Task Brush (pink handle)
Domed Shadow Brush (purple handle)

On this set I'm more excited about the Multi-task brush and the Domed shadow brush because they're so flexible when it comes to how you use it. The domed shadow brush I can say is too big for my crease so I think i'll use it for concealer application or for cream eye shadow base. For the multi-task brush is great for bronzer and blusher even powder it's very flexible you can see it on how it's shape and designed. I don't like the foundation brush that shape like that because I'm having a hard time when it comes to application I got streaky result when I use it but the texture is so soft that it might give you a better result.

With the Starter Set it comes with 5 full size brushes most of them are for eyes and the panoramic black case. It cost USD 17.99 and bought it for the same price. It claims to have high definition application for your eye make up.

The Brushes are: (all with purple handles)
Deluxe crease brush
Base shadow brush
Accent Brush
Pixel point eyeliner brush
Brow brush

On this set I'm caught in all of them. When it comes to brushes I love to explore on eye shadow and foundation brushes so this set is very interesting for me specially the Accent brush because it's something unique and because its small its nice for putting eye shadow near your bottom lashes smudging eyeliner or a highlighter on the tear duct area. Going on with the other brushes on this kit, the Deluxe Crease brush is like a feel of the E25 from Sigma one of my favorite brushes so I'm pretty excited to use that as well however it feels a little bit stiffer than the Sigma one. The Base Shadow brush is a very flexible one for me you can use it on application of your eye shadow in every way you want it's good if you want a more heavy application on your lids because it can pack up colors so well. Also I noticed that the Pixel Point Eyeliner brush was kind of bigger than other eyeliner brushes which I think will be difficult to use when your doing a fine line on the inner corners of your eyes. With the Brow brush i can't think of anywhere to use this brush than on your brow I was hoping I can use it as a liner brush but I think it's thicker to use it as a liner brush. On the brighter side, this is perfect for me because I love thick bold eyebrows. The advantage of this brushes I think is since it's synthetic it's easier to clean when you use it with products like cream base eye shadows compared to using a natural hair brushes.

 On the black panoramic case

Hope you guys enjoy this. I can say you must try buying this kits because it's so great and soft. Downside of this is you can't buy this individually so if you want another Multi-task brush then you have to buy the whole travel essential kit. However it's still way cheaper than the other brushes so you have to consider that as well. If you're someone who wants to buy cheaper alternative for makeup brushes that works good as well then give this brushes a try.

For some individual brushes that I bought from Real Technique I will be posting that soon so watch out for that, follow my blog if you wanna see it.
