5 LIPSTICK TO ROCK THIS WINTER

Change of season means change of trends again, and this time we're back to bold autumn-Christmas-holiday trend. So from the very colorful spring and summer we're jumping to plums and red for fall and winter. Personally, I love the cooler months than the warmer months because of the extreme heat we experience here in UAE plus every time it starts to get cold I feel like the Christmas is very very near which everyone loves, right?. And since I'm inspired right now with the coldness around me, I will share with you my few lipstick that I always wore whenever this season arrives.

This is my go to red lipstick that I always wore for some special occasion or dinner out with my husband or friends. Who never want's a red lipstick during this time of the year? The matte is very classic and I just love the matte finish on red lipsticks. Sometimes I also wear Riri Woo from Mac as well. The only thing about this lipstick is that it's a bit drying so you have to put balm on your lips before applying the lipstick.

This is my all year round if I wanted to rock a very bright pink lips. I use this on days where I wanted to tone down the red or plum lips. A good bold pink lipstick is a great alternative for a red lipstick and also it's a very girly kind of lipstick that's suitable for a more daytime wear. So if you're not into red or plum lips then I say go for a bright pink or fuchsia.

3. MAC REBEL
There were days when I wanted to feel bolder and this lipstick is my must have for that. This lipstick is on a dark plumier vampy lipstick. This has been a hit for fall look. Last year was the first time I tried plums because usually I only go for nude and pinks but not plums I never thought it will suit me but when I went to MAC and had the courage to try it, I was so surprised that it suits me. So now this lipstick is part of my top fall-winter must have.

If you have a tan skin or medium yellow skintone this colour will be a good choice for you. It's an bright orangey red and screams fun Autumn. The first time I saw it at MAC store I thought oh no no no this is a wrong colour it's too bright. But when I went back to MAC and tried it without hesitations bought it with the gloss. It was a matte but not drying at all. It's very comfortable on your lips. So if you were like me who has a more on medium yellow skin-tone. You will like this product.

This is my everyday daytime lipstick if I was going for a toned down look.  This is also a matte lipstick but because its very creamy it glides on perfectly on your lips and doesn't give you that drying feel on your lips. It's more on a pinkish with a brown tone to it perfect for this season. This is a bit pricey but a perfect dupe was a popular Revlon Matte in Sultry which I also have and sometimes switch between the 2.

6. MAC D FOR DANGER
Just because I can't leave this out I really need to include this on my Top. Let's just consider is as a bonus (wink). This is a brick red colour that a bit bolder than red lipstick. Of course a matte lipstick as well. I tend to not try brick reds because I feel like it makes me look older but this was an exemption to that. It does complement my skin and really lovely to any skintone. If you want something bolder than red try this shade and you will be in love.

So that's my top 5 fall-winter lipsticks. What's your's?

MAC LIPSTICK HAUL

(Riri Woo, All fired up , Speak Louder ,Fanfare)

I don't know why I am liking a bright lips right now usually I go for a more natural nude lips but I think bright  lips is my go to lippies right now except when I go to work but weekend or if I'm having a dinner or hanging out with friends I wore bright lips.

So I went to MAC or my sister hunt it for me since she's privilege on going everywhere in the world I ask her to hunt the Riri Woo and the All fired up lipstick for me.

I kept on avoiding the Riri Woo lipstick because for me it's just like the Ruby woo which is on the permanent line but when MAC release the Holiday collection I was sold because of the packaging who would never love a rose gold and white packaging? Since the Holiday collection was release in the UAE I think last February or End of January and they didn't include the lipstick which I think is a big disappointment for those people who are waiting for the collection and I'm one of them. I really wanted the pleasure bomb and no matter what I do my sister don't want to give it to me because she likes it too. That's the reason why I bought the next color which I think closely looks like the Pleasure Bomb.

The next item that I asked my sister to hunt for me and I think she found it in Australia was the All fired up and it was from the Retro Matte Collection. It's a bright fuchsia and really really lovely on my skin tone if only I can wear it at work I will but I don't want my boss distracted because of my bright lips. This is one of my favorite bright lips plus it's matte and I love matte.

I also bought ( me going to MAC store) 2 lipstick because that time I'm so stressed and I need something to make me happy so I went to MAC and look for something and I saw this color called Speak Louder and I like it so I was swatching it with few more lipsticks but it really speaks to me to get him so I ended up getting it. It's a Cremesheen and describe as a clean poppy blue pink and was just lovely and perfect for Spring.I really love the finish of Cremesheen and how they glide smoothly on your lips and I think you heard me mention it a lot now so I'll stop and jump in to my last purchase.

The last lipstick that I got was actually my husbands choice was the Fanfare. He also prefer nude natural lips on me and just ignore it when I use bright lips. This is also a Cremesheen finish because I love it. It's describe as a mid-tone yellow pink but for me it falls on a very light pinky coral shade. Most of the time now this is what I use in the office and it never leaves my bag. It makes my lips look so natural but better. This I think will fall on my most used lipsticks.

That's all I bought from MAC and I also have a few collections from MAC coming up so make sure you visit my blog.

Have a great day!

MAC HAUL

I went back to MAC to repurchase some items and check the RiRi Hearts Fall Collection which is by Rihanna. The first RiRi hearts collection was exclusively sold online so I didn't got a chance to buy that. And finally MAC released another collection for fall which is sold on the stores and internationally. Last Friday I when I received the message from MAC that it was out. I got so excited and wanted to go back to Abu Dhabi because we're on a trip that weekend so I waited till the next day and went straight to MAC. Unfortunately.... there's only few items left which I'm not interested in buying it was the mascara, lipliner, the lipgloss and the 2 lipstick which is the Who's that chick and the Riri Woo. As per MAC it was sold out within 2 hrs after they released it, which was expected since a lot of people was waiting for it to come out. The next day I decided to go to the newly opened MAC in World Trade Center Mall hoping that some of the items are still there...luckily some are still there except for the Talk that talk which is a  deep plum lipstick and the one that I'm really interested in buying which is the Hibiscus..too bad! However, I got the chance to check the other items on this collection which for me was well suited for darker skin tones. The nude lipstick was not for me because it was too brown, the Who's that chick is not my color even though I love orange tones because it suits medium skin tones but the gold tones was no no for me. The Riri woo is something I can't still decide because I wore red occasionally and Ruby woo is absolutely same as Riri woo though the Riri woo was a bit brighter however, for me it was the same maybe I'll try buying one on the RiRi Heart Holiday collection since I like the packaging of that collection more :) which is a white with rose gold! I'm also interested in the Creme color base but I break out on their Creme color base most of the time. So I skipped even though I really wanted to buy it. So I ended up buying the blusher which is absolutely perfect for fall you can skip using bronzer with this blush it's called Bad Girl Gone Good which is described as a warm copper with a satin finish.

And because I really wanted the Hibiscus I looked around and buy a blush that almost like the Hibiscus which for me was the Pinch o peach. They said that the Nars Amour was also a dupe for that so maybe if I visit Nars I'll check that.

Then I went and buy some more items that I needed like the MAC lipsticks in Pattiserie, Shanghai Spice, Creme Cup and Peach Blossoms.

MAC HAUL

Hi everyone!

For the longest time, I finally got the chance to visit MAC and check out some of their new products. Actually the purpose of going to the mall is to enroll my husband to a newly opened Gym called Gold's Gym in Al Whada Mall and since I don't want to check the vicinity with him I just decided to go and visit some shops. I went to MAC Store since it's the nearest.

So when I arrived at MAC I decided to just purchase some basic eye shadows that I needed which is Wedge, Charcoal Brown, Quarry and Concrete and because I'm quite lucky that day so I ended up not buying them because all of them are out of stock. Then I decided to just check out some of their new products and saw that they already released the new foundation called MINERALIZED MOISTURE SPF15 FOUNDATION. I wanted to try this foundation after MAC released it in US months and months ago and of course it took months before the final release here in UAE but finally the long wait is over and it's here and I'm excited to give this a shot. This foundation is actually the replacement for the MINERALIZED SKIN FINISH FOUNDATION which I absolutely hate because of it's consistency, smell and the finish it gives and by the way it's the first foundation I had from MAC, first liquid foundation I had, I should say. My hopes for this foundation is high. So don't fail me you...moisture foundation! I will most probably do a full review of this foundation soon. So just wait for that.

I decided then to check the Lip Glass section which I skip most of my visits to MAC because I'm a lipstick kinda gal though I use Lipgloss but not everyday let's say.... whenever I feel like I want to. So I was this Pro long wear Lipglass and was kinda intrigue about it so I swatched some colors and decided to try just one so if I end up not liking it, I won't be wasting money. So after few swatches I ended up buying the shade called "Show me" which is a mid-tone neutral plum color. I will let you know my findings about this Lipglass if it's a long wearing lipglass or not because it claims to last for 6 hours before re-applying. So let's see.

Then my next stop was of course the Lipstick. I was hoping to buy a shade called Pattiserie and Creme Cup but it's not available so again I just swatch some shades and came across to this shade called "Crosswires" and you know that feeling when you tried it you know you'll love it. That's what happen so I bought it. It's a Cremesheen so that's a plus for me because I love Cremesheen and the color was a pinky orange but more on the orangey side. I don't actually know but I'm loving orange lipsticks right now. I think it really suits my complexion.

Then the last stop was the limited editions. I was drawn to the collection called Art of the Eye because of this purplish blue sparkly eye shadow called "Banafsaji". After my love at first sight to this color I grabbed it and I swatch it and then absolutely I fell in love with it. I decided to bring him home and be with me for the rest of his life. I love it more than my favorite contrast eyeshadow, PERIOD. No more explanation.

So that's my unlucky end up being lucky haul from MAC.

Hope you guys have a great day :)

MAY FAVORITES

So i’m back again for my monthly favorites which i’m so always good in not doing it every month because of the wedding preparation and the wedding itself. Hopefully by the upcoming month i’ll be posting every month(crossing fingers).

1. MAYBELLINE Define a Brow in Dark Brown - I almost forgot about this one because I’m so in a mood of a quick look so I often use my Missha Brow kit. But when I’m in the Philippines i brought it and started using it again and I noticed the difference of doing a more define brow than a trashy quick one. Unfortunately when I went back to UAE and was planning to buy more it was phased out. I think everyone hate it and feel so angry when they found something that works so well with them and suddenly the brand will phase them out. I hope Maybelline will realize that.

2. MAC LIPSTICK in Sweetie - This is a lustre finish from MAC. The color was described as ultra-sweet pink. I love this shade of lipstick it brings out a simple pop of Spring to  your face. Specially for an everyday look which I always like because I don’t wear much color for work. Plus pink gives you a youthful glow so for now this is my everyday-go-to lipstick. It’s also moisturizing which I love about Lustre finish but the downside of this mostly of Lustre finishes is less pigmented compared to other finish from MAC so you tend to apply more.

3. BENEFIT They’re Real Mascara - Usually when it comes to mascara I often grab from drugstore brands like Maybelline, Covergirl, Loreal and Revlon beacause I think it works so well compared to high end brands plus, I can’t justify buying a high end mascara and throw them after a month or so. This mascara was so loved by most of the Guru’s so I get so interested with it and just before our vacation I grab one in Sephora to try. It cost AED120.00 so it’s twice the price of the drugstore one. The result is pretty good but i’m not amazed. Will do a review on it soon.

4. MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC 40 - When it comes to foundation I always comes back to MAC because the shades really blends do well  with my skin tone. Most of the other foundation either made me look gray or too pink for me. I’m trying to avoid liquid foundation during this time of the year when all sweat is coming out of my body so I always stick with powder foundation or concealer and just powder. Since this is a powder foundation it’s good in absorbing oil on your face and it feels light compared to liquid or cream foundation. You still can see that it covers up some light skin discoloration but not a very dark one you still need concealer if you want to cover up dark discoloration.
5. ZOYA NAIL POLISH in Piaf - I started to practice doing my nails so I can change my nail color whenever I want to. So there’s a new nail salon called Nail Symphony across our villa and they’re selling some brands aside from Essie which I adore. They told me to try Zoya because it’s organic and safe for pregnant woman though I’m not pregnant yet I think this will be useful when I am so I tried it and I swear it’s so amazing ans so easy to apply. Usually a polish will stay on my nails for 3 days and will start chipping but with Zoya it stayed for a week with no chipping. It really wowed me and will try some more shades soon.

6.UNIQLO Women Leggins - I’m a super fan of Leggins because of it’s comfortable feeling when I wore it. When we went to HK near our hotel in Causeway was this shop called UNIQLO and was so attracted with the colorful design and prints. When bumped into the leggins section I was caught by the texture and thickness of their leggins and sometimes when it comes to leggins I wanted to grab every color I can but thinking of our allowed luggage I can’t so I grab 4 colors. I’ts so soft and so nice to wear. I just love em! If you have the same store on your place try their line and have fun.

Hope you guys enjoy!

PRODUCT REVIEW : REVLON COLORBURST LIP BUTTERS

I recently purchased Revlon Lip butters online http://www.drugstore.com because Lipbutters sad to say are not yet available in UAE. I always buy lipsticks in MAC just because I love the shades of their nude lipsticks and other colors as well but Im in love more on their nude lipsticks generally I love nude lipsticks. I first saw this lip butters on one of my favorite Youtube Guru, itsjudytime, here is her link if you wanna check that out http://www.youtube.com/user/itsjudytime?feature=g-user-u   Then I found out that it was a lipbalm so I said hmmm…. that’s interesting. So I went to the mall and look for Revlon and got so disappointed that there’s no lip butters here and check it online by that time it was out of stock in drugstore.com so I waited for like 2 weeks and got lucky last 26th of January that it was back in drugstore and I am really lucky because the next day it was out of stock again :) So I bought 8 colors just to try them out then if I like the formula I will buy some more colors. I bought Strawberry Shortcake,Tutti frutti, Cotton Candy, Cupcake, Lollipop, Sweet Tart, Berry Smoothie and Creme Brulee. I received them last Saturday and Im so happy coz it’s fast :)
So Revlon claims that its a Buttery balm with beautiful shiny color to give you a baby soft, healthy glowing lips 94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother and instantly hydrated.

I say that… It is a buttery lip balm with beautiful shiny color YES, Hydrated Im on the middle maybe I need to use it more then I will let you know if that changes my point of view. The felt of it on my lips was like Amplified from MAC. The color payoff was great for a balm it is very pigmented which I love about it and for like 7.49 USD it wasn’t bad considering the pigment. The packaging, I love the packaging.. I really love it, They are so cool. The smell of it is like a shea butter for me because the formula on these lip butters are Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula but for me I smell more of the shea butter and it makes me feel like I wanna eat them like a candy. They say that it can boosts lip moisture by 156%, again, I don’t wanna say it does..but I will update this review maybe after 3 weeks and will let you know. One thing I also love about this is it glides smoothly on your lips most of them are sheer to medium colour so if you want more colour on your lips you just have to apply more but for me the dark colors like the shades of red you can build the colors with just 2 layers. They’re available in 20 colors. Once it’s available again online I might get 7 more shades I feel like I wanna try Cherry Tart, Raspberry Pie, Pink Truffle, Creamsicle, Candy Apple, Brown sugar and Peach Parfait.
( Strawberry Shortcake, Tutti frutti, Cotton Candy and Cupcake )

( Strawberry Shortcake, Tutti frutti, Cotton Candy and Cupcake )

What I can say in this group I like more of the Tutti frutti on the other 3 I feel like I need to wear lipliner coz my natural Lip line is seriously showing up. The Cupcake is a bit brighter than the cotton candy and strawberry shortcake as you can see on the swatches I made for me the perfect nude pink color was the Cotton Candy. Starberry Shortcake was on the middle for me. If you have a very pale lips I think you will like the 3 pink nudes.
( Lollipop, Sweet Tart, Berry smoothie, Creme Brulee )

( Lollipop, Sweet Tart, Berry smoothie, Creme Brulee )
This was the shades a bit darker well except for the Creme Brulee. I can’t say which of which is my favorite because I love them all on my lips. The Lollipop is a bright pink but not that very bright that you can’t wear them at daytime. I think this Lollipop is very wearable and it’s good for any skintone. Perfect bright pink! The Sweet Tart is a lovely pink a pinkish reddish lipstick i like it more on a no make up look and this shade. The Berry smoothie oh my! from all this 8 shades that I got my love is this Berry Smoothie :) Then lets not leave Creme Brulee is the perfect nude lipstick just perfect!
( LEFT to RIGHT : Lollipop, Sweet Tart, Berry smoothie, Creme Brulee, Strawberry Shortcake, Tutti frutti, Cotton Candy and Cupcake )

Hope you guys try it and if you do. Let me know what tou think about it!
xoxo-
