URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE

Finally I had my Naked 3 Palette!

At last Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is available now  in Sephora Dubai and Abu Dhabi. And if you're like me and been a fan of the Urban Decay's Naked line then you know how it feels when this palette was released. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that the Naked 3 will be available here in the UAE that fast usually it took months but I think they know that the Naked 3 will be a big hit after being sold out so fast online and in stores.

The Naked 1 was on the bronzey hues more on the warmer colors the Naked 2 was Taupey hues which was on the cooler colors and the Naked 3 was on the Pink rosey hues which I think will suit warm or cool tones.

Looking at it on the Urban Decay's website I really wanted it so bad because who doesn't love pink and rose colors it suits everyone. Plus the packaging design is incredible like a rosey gold tin like the Naked 2 it also comes with a double ended brush and a sampler of the very famous Primer Potion.

Naked 3 still comes with 12  new rich creamy eye shadows a mixture of matte, satin and shimmer like the previous two palettes from lighter to darker shades.

First shade it the Strange which is described as a Pale Neutral Pink Matte-Satin - This is great for highlighting as always the first shades are.
Dust is the second shade and it's a Pale Metallic Pink Shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter, this one I find it a bit hard to work with but great as an accent like put it on top of your eye make up to give it a nice sparkle and I think it will be better to apply it wet that's what I did the first time I used it.
Burnout is a light pinky-peach satin this is really really nice love it on the inner half of my lid to brighten that area.
Limit is a light dusky rose matte good for transition color.
Buzz a metallic rose shimmer with silver micro glitter one of the medium color and great for all over the lids color.
Trick is a light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle this has a gold tone that reminds me of the naked 1 & 2 Half baked but this is more like the Naked 3 version with a coppery tone.

Nooner is a medium pinky-brown matte a great blending color.
Liar is a medium metallic mauve shimmer and I'm loving this so much one of my favorite on this palette. Factory is a pinky brown satin also a perfect lid color and another one of my favorite.
Mugshot is another one of my favorite and it's a metallic taupe shimmer with light pink shift perfect even alone.
Darkside is a deep taupe-mauve satin that's good for definition and the last color was the
Blackheart this one is crazy color black and red just crazy like great and unexpected its described as smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle.

(Nooner , Liar , Factory , Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart
Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick)

All I can say is that this is a must have. Ranking the 3 Naked Palette this will win the 2nd spot. First of course will be the Naked 1 and last will be the Naked 2 since it suits more cooler undertones. I can't wait to play with this more and this will stay in my makeup bag for months. Right now I don't want to choose what's my top favorite because I can't choose which is which but my least favorite I think is the Dust but I still can work with it like applying it wet.

This is sold in Sephora Dubai and Abu Dhabi for AED 279. So if you are interested in the Naked Palette 3 get it before it's gone because for sure it will sell out fast.

MY EVERYDAY MAKE UP FOR WORK

Hi Everyone!

This will be my first "face of the day" post on my blog. Me and my husband are going out to watch a movie and have dinner with our friends afterwards. Since I had been wearing this makeup almost everyday I thought I better put it on my blog and take advantage of the natural light. This was taken inside my husband's car while he's driving and starting to get annoyed of me blocking his side mirror. I'm using my  phone to take the pictures.

This is pretty simple and very basic. I opted for more natural look most of the time because I don't feel the need of putting layers of make up in a very humid day. So minimal product was used and the list are below:

Face
Bare Minerals Matte Foundation in Light
MAC Moisture Cover Concealer in NW25
NARS Laguna Bronzer
Illamasqua Blush in Nymph

Eyes
Maybelline Define a brow in Dark Brown
Missha Eyebrow powder
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink
Estee Lauder Eyeshadow duo in Raisins
MAC Eyeliner in Stubborn Brown
Benefit They're Real Mascara

Lips
Revlon Lipstick in Blushing Mauve

Final touch
Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray

COLLECTIVE HAUL (PARIS GALLERY, SEPHORA, AREEJ & ILLAMASQUA)

Hi Everyone!

I got another haul for you guys :)

I had been hold for buying beauty products for a year and this is what happens. Some of  the things I bough was really needed and some are...something new to try on.

We went to Dubai Mall during the Eid Holiday. Dubai mall is where we go whenever I need to find something not sold in Abu Dhabi because most of the brands can be found there it's a very very big mall. And because I haven't been there and also I was supposed to meet with my sister that time but she was at the airport from 1am till 5am waiting if she will be pulled out for a flight and because we we're avoiding crowd we went there around 10am when everyone I guess is still sleeping so as my sister. My husband also need to buy some work out clothes and shoes so even meeting up my sister was cancelled we still decided to continue the plan.

First stop I discovered an Illamasqua store in Dubai Mall, It's new... I think because I'd never seen them before. It's a UK cosmetic brand and their skin base foundation was so popular but unfortunately I didn't try that one because I still have 1 more foundation to try and I bought a new foundation also to try, which I will show or tell you in a bit. There's not much products to try like most of their lipsticks are like 3 same shades on the tray so your just picking up the same shade you like repeatedly. And it's quite expensive than MAC so I decided to try their blush and of course I can't go out there without buying a lipstick.

I choose a blush called Nymph and it was like a soft pink with a bluish tone on it. Perfect girly blush. Then I grab a safe nude lipstick called Test. Both of them are highly highly pigmented. As of now I love both of them and I kept on using the Nymph blush ever since I bought it. And I also used the lipstick on my shoot which will also be posted soon.

Then I went to Sephora. Every time I go to Dubai Mall I make it a point to stop by Sephora and snoop for some new things to try plus I really needed to buy another Urban Decay Naked Palette. I gave my old one to my younger sister because she was asking me to buy her an eyeshadow palette when my husband and I were in Hong Kong for our honey moon and because I can't find anything nicer than the Naked Palette I just decided to gave it to her and will just buy a new one when I came back here in UAE. So I bought that and then I also wanted to try the Urban Decay Oil control make up setting spray called De Slick because my face turned to be very greasy now because of the weather here in UAE and I swear it's disgusting. So I wanted to try that if it works better than the All Nighter one and it actually does I'd been also using it everyday.

Then I pass by the Bareminerals section and I love their eye shadows so much most specially the quad called "The Truth". So i decided to try the Bareminerals matte foundation because it will suit my needs now specially it's summer so a mineral loose powder might work for me I bought a shade Light because It has a yellow undertone and I'm more on yellow than beige and pink I'm so excited to do a full review on this because it's a very good foundation I can say for everyday though I still love my MAC Face and Body foundation also for summer.

Then the last item that I wanted to pick up in Sephora was the Huda Lashes. I used Huda Lashes on my wedding last April and I love it so much that I promised myself to buy another one. I bought a more dramatic one called Gisselle, the one i used on my wedding was Coco Jo. Coco Jo is a more natural looking lashes. It's just quite a bit expensive for my opinion and since I'm not wearing lashes everyday it's fine for me to buy this and keep it for a more important event.

Then I went to Areej to check the Estee Lauder because I wanted to actually try the Blush called Tease but unfortunately It's out of stock so my husband told me to choose another item that I wanted to try and I always love Estee Lauder Lip glosses because it's very pigmented but I can't find a nice color. Then when I look down I saw this duo eye shadows. It's called Pure Color Eyeshadow Duo in Rasins. Which is a very very nice color even my husband likes it I also like the Vanilla Pods but I choose the Raisins more because it's more interesting. I will come back there for sure and buy the Vanilla Pod and a 5 Eyeshadow palette because they're also lovely. Also the wonderful lady who assist me gave me a cute tote bag for free. Yay!

Then the last stop was at Paris Gallery because Clinique emailed me that they will be giving away a Eid Gifts which is a bag full of goodies when ever you prurchased 2 items. Since I needed to repurchased my moisturizer and I wanted to try a new skincare steps I went there and grab a few items. So I had been in the Acne Solution Clear Skin System for years now and since my skin is clear now. I wanted to try the 3 Step Skin care #3 for Combination to Oily Skin Type. Clinique has a trial kit or starter kit for their skin care which consist of toner, facial wash and a moisturizer in small bottle and tubes and I usually purchase a starter kit when I'm trying a new skin care routine, practically because I don't know if it will work for me or not so why spend buying the bigger sizes if you're just on trial. Then I still wanted to keep my Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer oil free to at least control some pimples coming out specially when your period is arriving. Another reason is because I love how it feels on my skin. I usually apply this all over my face at night. I also asked the girl at  the counter if I can still use it and she said it's fine as long as it still works on your skin. And as I've said they will be giving out a bag with goodies for their promotion, I got one which consist of High Impact Mascara, 7 day scrub cream, youth surge moisturizer, dual ended lipgloss and lipstick, black eyeliner, take the day off make up remover and pore refining solution correcting serum.

So that's it! That's  my haul from few beauty shops i trusted. Hope you guys enjoyed it. I will be doing full review on some products mentioned on this blog.

Have a great day!

AUGUST FAVORITES

Hi everyone!
August had ended and now it's the start of "Ber Months" and every time ber month starts I feel very excited because it means that Christmas is very very near and before I get really excited for the ber months let wrap the August with my monthly favorites.

For my August Beauty and Skincare Favorites

1. BIODERMA SENSIBIO H20 MICELLE SOLUTION FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
That was quite a long name for a product. Any ways this products cleanses your face and removes makeup even the stubborn waterproof one. It's very gentle on your face and really makes your face feeling smooth after using it. I don't normally use it everyday. I use it mostly on times when I wear full make up on because not everyday I wear full makeup. But during the Ramadan when I have a lot of time putting make up on I use this everyday and I love it. It really does the magic in removing make up. If you are looking for a make up remover try this one. I bought it from Boots but you can find it mostly on a drugstore or pharmacy around UAE.

2. BIO OIL
My sister recommended this product to me. I'm kind looking for a body oil that doesn't leave a greasy feeling on your skin and she told me to try the Bio oil. I was a bit skeptical in buying this product because 1st it's still an oil and 2nd because it's a bit pricey. When I went to Boots during the start of August I decided to give it a shot since then I'd been using this everyday. I love my body butter and I still love them but this product also do the thing of hydrating your skin. I'm very lazy applying lotion in the morning so at night I really spend time hydrating my skin. So I use this Bio oil first after taking a shower then I let it absorb my skin and let say after 30 mins I apply my body butter and my skin in the morning was so soft. This will be included in my night skin care routine from now on.

3. BARE ESSENTIALS MATTE FOUNDATION BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 15
I bought this foundation last Eid just because I wanted to try it and I really love it. It's so easy to use and really hold up pretty well. Skipping a powder after foundation, who doesn't like that? I can say that it's a really nice summer foundation. If you're a person who doesn't like a liquid foundation during summer, you better try this. The finish is good, there's a lot of shades to choose from so it would be easy to find what matches you. I think this product is under rated I don't see a lot of  reviews about it and I don't know why but it is a really good foundation I have tried 2 products from Bare minerals and I love both of them. Now I'm really in the convince to try more Bare minerals product because I think they're great.

4. BOURJOIS COLOUR BOOST LIP CRAYON
I also purchased this product along with the Bio-oil and the Bioderma when I went to Boots. I pick up the shade called Peach on the Beach which is a nice peach color and Orange Punch which is just a normal Orange color. I haven't tried Bourjois lip products before I find it a bit expensive for a drugstore brand  specially when I compare it to Rimmel which by the way their lip products are great for a drugstore brand. So I tried it and I like it I use it everyday because it's very hydrating on your lips and slides on smoothly. Like I don't bother looking at the mirror applying it because it's just so natural looking it's like a tint with a gloss.

5. URBAN DECAY DE-SLICK OIL CONTROL MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY
I was using the All Nighter setting spray before and I notice that it doesn't work for my oily skin. I was eager to find something to control the oiliness on my T-zone. One day when I was watching Youtube I saw the De-slick used by Ingrid who is also known as missglamorazzi, I told myself i have to try it. So when I went to Sephora without any hesitations I bought this product and tested it. It's way better than the All Nighter, It controls the oiliness on my T zone but not for more than 8 hrs which is fine for me because all I need to do is blot it and it's back to normal. I can't leave the house without using this because the humidity will absolutely melt everything I have on my face.

For my Non Beauty favorites

1. NIKE FUEL BAND
I was really trying to be healthy this past few month and by being healthy means I'm trying to eat less carbs than normal, eating veggies (which thinking about it makes me sick), eating more fruits and working out more. I workout most of the time when I'm not feeling lazy but But since i have a goal of loosing a stone I had been working out more. I had been counting calories I burned in a day and to be able to do that and be motivated to burn more I bought a Nike Fuel Band which monitors your calories and the reach or even exceed your goals. My goal for now is reaching 2000 fuel a day and burning 700+ calories a day. Some days I actually burn a thousand and reach fuel up to 3900. There were also days when you're feeling lazy and all you wanted to do is lie on the bed and once you saw that it's 1pm and your goal was just 100, you will really be motivated to move around and do something.

2. Kindle
I love reading books so much because it brings me to a different world and it feels like a stress reliever for me specially at the end of the day. But this past few months I'd been using ibooks most of the time what I noticed is that my eyes are reacting to the brightness of it specially at night. Even though I adjust the brightness or switch it to night I still feel uncomfortable reading and usually I just stop because I'm starting to get dizzy. During daytime i don't have any problem with it. So I switch back to my Kindle and I just enjoy reading more. All though Kindle released a Paper white and Fire, I think the Kindle with the E ink pearl was the best for your eyes.

So that's the things I had been loving for the past month. I hope you enjoy it and if you wanted to try something from the products I mentioned go for it and lemme know if it works for you.

URBAN DECAY NAKED PALLET 2

Everyone’s got so crazy with the Naked Palette when Urban Decay released it last 2010 , i’m one of them. Luckily this time there’s is Urban Decay here in UAE and thank God that they opened Sephora in Dubai last 2011 and in Abu Dhabi last year, I think that was May 2011 when I got my hand on my Naked Palette. And then, Urban Decay release the Naked Palette 2. I got mine from Amazon.com when it’s still not available in Sephora-Dubai but now it's available in every Sephora in UAE. So here’s my review about it and my impression.

Naked Pallet 1 & 2

Naked Pallet was packet with neutral colors that's what their idea for the Naked palette. I love the first Naked Palette because I can easily pull out a look from simple day time to night time look. I love neutrals and I think its nice with every look you’re trying to pull up for that certain day and very appropriate for school and work makeup.
Lets go first with the packaging. Comparing the two i like the Naked Palette 2’s packaging more because it’s made of metal and it has a nice old rosy nude color which is so nice. The old one is made of chocolate brown like velvety texture to it and after few months of using it, it tends to look dirty because of some loosed colors and fingerprints. I also like that Urban Decay made the mirror bigger so you can see both of your eyes pretty well. The size are pretty much the same I like how I just can put it on my purse and bring it with me everywhere. So convenient that if ever there’s something comes up after work I can just add more colors to my eyes.
Naked Palette 1

The Naked Palette 1 includes Karma Eye shadow Brush and a Travel size Eye shadow Primer. The Naked Palette 2 includes Karma Eye shadow Duo Brush and a Plumping Lip gloss. I don't like the Lip gloss though because of the tingling effect on it, I don't feel comfortable with the tingling effect on your lips.
Naked Palette 2

Let’s go through colors. Urban Decay described it as meticulously packed with 12 Taupe + Greige Neutrals and five exclusive new shades. The colors are still very pigmented. The only thing I don’t like about it most of them are shiny and glittery. The colors that I love and wore most of the time are Foxy which is a off white matte with yellow tone on it. Most of the time I use it as a base or a highlight for my brow bone. BootyCall which is a pale rosy pink color with shimmer on it also a good highlight or a base. Chopper which is a peachy pink and gold with silver sparkle I love this color it is actually my favorite on this palette. Tease which is a matte plumy brown and taupe color i like it on my crease, Pistol which is just a taupe greenish grey color with a bit of shimmer i love it alone like just allover my lid and the Blackout which is like a matte black. I like how they include a matte black on this palette. The other colors are Half Baked which is a perfect bronzy gold color with shimmer this is also included on the first palette, Snakebite which is a dark brownish taupe color with golden shimmer perfect for the outer lids or just on the lid and build up the color. Suspect which is a light brown taupe color with shimmer as well good for highlighting the corner of the lids or at the center for a pop of shimmer. Verve which is a silver with grey undertone on it and shimmer I haven’t tried this one yet but I think it’s perfect for nice smokey look. Ydk which is pink purley color with a very chunky gold glitters on it tends to fall out more I haven’t tried this too because as I’ve said it has chunk of glitters and I don’t like it. i think you should be careful on using this color because of the glitters itself but the color is nice. I might try this one soon and will update this for some views. Busted which is a dark plum with silver shimmer I love it for smokey look just a line it on your lash line and smoke it out on the outer corners of your lids and you’re good to party.

If I will choose between Naked 1 and Naked 2 I will choose the Naked 1 because the Naked 1 is more of like a warm colors which is nicer. The Naked 2 was more of the cool tones which I think makes you more mature.

I know most of you have Naked Pallets so what do you guys think? share it to me by leaving a comment below :)
Hope you guys enjoy the palette!!!

MARCH FAVORITES

I haven’t done favorites for a long time because I had been juggling my time between work, wedding and being a wife. I’ll blog some details about my wedding soon :) for now I want to share with you some products that I had been frequently using for the whole month of march.

1. RIMMEL STAY MATTE FACE POWDER - I saw this from Tanya Burr a youtube guru and she kept on saying that this powder is so good. I had been using MAC’s careblend powder for years now since it was released 2 years ago so I’m a bit hesitant for trying something new product specially to replace something that I love for years. So one day when I was doing some shopping I decided to grab some Rimmel Products and I grab this powder. I had been using it for a month now and it was so damn good. My face stays matte for the whole day compared to my MAC careblend. So I’m giving a thumbs up for this product plus I saved more than half of the price of my usual powder.

2. RIMMEL KATE MOSS LIPSTICK in 08 - I had been using this product almost everyday for about 2 months now. It’s a perfect shade if you want to pull up a nude pink lip for an everyday look. It has a creamy texture and a bit moisturizing on the lips not drying. The smell is good compared to some Rimmel lip products. I’m planning to try few more shades but as of now this is my go to everyday lip color.
3. UD NAKED BASIC PALETTE - I love Naked Palette whenever Urban decay is releasing some products from the line of Naked. I’m so on the hype of getting it. Unfortunately UD release the products few months late here in the UAE so im purchasing it online. With it’s very basic colors what I do is put a cream color base on my lids and top it with colors from the palette and define it with the dark colors. It’s more convenient to use it and throw it on your make up bag instead of carrying different shades of eye shadows. It’s perfect for day to night look.
4. MAYBELLINE METALLIC COLOR TATOO in INKED IN PINK - I love Maybelline line of color tatoos. I purchased this pink color online because it’s still not available here in UAE I think it will be after 6 months or so. It’s a perfect pink base for me. Sometimes when I’m so lazy I just put it on my lids alone. The only thing I don’t like about this product when you put more on your lids it’s really hard to blend because it dries do quickly the good thing is it stay on my lids for the whole day but not 24hrs. It creases a bit after 10 hrs.
5. MAC EYE KHOL in TEDDY - I was in a MAC store and was trying to
purchased POWERSURGE eye khol when I saw this teddy and fell in love with it instantly. I even dropped the Powersurge and grab the Teddy when a MAC representative told me that the powersurge was out for a long time now and might be out soon so I just grab both of them. But since I bought them I’d been using teddy everyday and the powersurge for I think twice. It’s very creamy and glides on smoothly and so easy to apply the color was describe as intense bronze but I think it’s more of dark chocolate brown with bronze. If you want to try a more than the basic plain brown eyeliner try this teddy.. It’s just perfect!!
6. ESSIE NAIL POLISH MINT CANDY APPLE - I was so hesitant to choose this color because I never used pastel on my nails because I don’t think it will compliment my skin tone but when I tried ahhh… i feel so  springy so ready for the spring. My husband like it too. It’s the perfect spring mint shade. A must try for spring.

7. CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE INTENSE SKIN FORTIFYING HYDRATOR - I had been using clinique for about 3 years now and It has been my HG when it comes to my skin routine. This winter my skin became to dry and flaky so I went to Clinique with my husband and they gave me a sample for this Moisture Surge Intense because I don’t want to purchase new products and if it didn’t work i’ll just throw it on my cabinet with the other products that didn’t  work for me. So I still do my Skin routine and after my usual moisturizer I put a layer of this as well and after 2-3 days i feel my skin more moisturized and smooth unlike before that it was so tight and uncomfortable. So maybe by summer my skin will get back to its normal condition as before.

So that’s it for my monthly favorites. Till next month. :)

PRODUCT REVIEW: Urban Decay Book of Shadow 4

Since I discovered Urban Decay Paletts, I can’t stop wanting them. It was quite hard to get Urban Decay here in UAE since the only place they’re selling it was in Dubai and most of the time they run out of the stock, which is so sad and devastating. I started my Urban Decay collection with the Naked palette 1 which i love. Then they released this Book of Shadow 4 and I can’t stop wanting them but that time I have to save money because I am going for a vacay in the Philippines so i stopped looking at Urban Decay website. And my fiancee who knows I love them so bad surprised me last week. They went to Dubai last week to buy RC Aircrafts with his friends and they stopped by Dubai Mall where Sephora store happens to be there too. So he arrived with Sephora bag on his other hand and it was the Urban Decay Book of Shadow 4!! He bought me the pallet who does that?! I can’t explain how happy I am.  AFTER MONTHS OF DREAMING ABOUT IT, AT LAST!
So this is my review about it and my first impression.

Urban decay has been releasing Book of shadows and this is the 4th edition. Let’s talk first about the packaging. I love how it look but I can’t put it on my bag because it will occupy space on my purse because it is quite a bit big for a usual palette, so the only time that I can use them is when I have time putting make up before I leave the house. I love the color and design of it. It was something kind of intriguing and mysterious, like you will ask yourself what the heck was that. It will catch up your attention once you saw it on a stand or where ever. Then when you open it you’ll be glad you did. The most innovative eyeshadow pallets in the world… EVER! They come up with the idea of including a portable speaker and a stand beside the mirror where in you can put your iphone or ipod or any smart phone on it. So while putting your make-up you can play your favorite music or watch something from you tube or clips you like. They include 2 cords you can use to connect on the portable speaker included on the palette. Then they have this card inserted on a small pocket which reveals 5 looks you can do using the palette, of course and all you need to do is scan it using your smartphones and watch it. How cool was that.

Urban Decay Book of shadow 4 comes with 16 neutral, vibrant and smoldering eye shadows that can be worn by everyone and fell in love with them in a snap, seriously. The texture most of them are shiny, satin and some are glittery which I think i’m not quite a big fan of because of fall outs when applying them. I thinkMIDNIGHT RODEO a metallic medium brown with gold and silver glitter andMIDNIGHT COWGIRL a shimmering gold with gold sparkle, has chunk of glitters on it. What catches myattention most was the BLUE BUS which is a lovely bright blue and

purple,COBRA a nice black with golden shimmer,BAKED a bright copper color, BENDER which a nice mossy green LOST which isa shimmery dark brown and BUST which is a taupe brown with gray shimmer. They also have colors like GUNMETAL a dark metallic silver with silver sparkle and SIN a shimmering champagne which was also included on the Naked Pallet. The rest of the eyeshadow colors are GRAVITY a deep vibrant color with multi-dimensional glitter, HIJACK grayish green with blue and green shimmer,CRYSTAL a light silvery blue with multi-dimensional shimmer, MISSIONARYlight taupe with pink shimmer, SKIMP a shimmering ultra light nude, ZEPHYR a shimmering off white. I swatched the eyeshadows you can see them on the pictures i took.
They also include a full size 24/7 Waterproof Eyeliner in perversion which is so Black, a travel size Eyeshadow Primer Potion and a travel size Supercurl curling Mascara.
It wasn’t a bad deal at all. I think it was a pretty great deal for AED 380 you have the 16 cool eyeshadows, the portable speaker, a mascara, eyeshadow primer which is one of their best selling product and a black waterproof eyeliner. And I think they’re available now online in Amazon and Sephora for 44USD.
