Reflecting on the years that God blessed me with

My
Faith
Failures
Struggles
Accomplishments
People that I have lost
People that I gained
There's a lot of it, like most of us. But we all have different stories to tell.

So, What's my story?

Well for a start I am living a good life or am I?

I grew up with my grandparents because my parents need to work abroad to provide for us and until now my father still lives and work abroad so most of my life I am away with my parents. Even though my mother lives in the Philippines now, she returned during my high school years I'm almost graduating and during college I moved out because my school was far from home. Do I regret the years I lived with my grandparents instead of my parents and do I recent my parents for leaving us? Never. I am very lucky, I can say, I am who I am because of my Nanay and Tatay they're the best! Unfortunately God took them too early. It does still hurt thinking that whenever I come back home I can't see them or hear their voices anymore. It's one of my struggles that until now I cannot accept that they're gone specially Nanay to cope up with the emptiness and sadness I just lie to myself that she's just there in our home and since I live miles away from her I can't call her. If I miss her and wanted to hear her voice well I just burst into tears and reality strikes me. I have 3 sisters and they're my life, Our eldest now lives in France she was living with me here in UAE for 4 years and when she got married she decided to live with her husband in France. Now, we just visit each other from time to to time either she travels here or I fly there. My 2 younger sisters are still in college, we talk everyday never a day passes that we won't share stories about our day, sharing pictures of our food, places, books that we are currently reading, secrets and other things. I always miss them so much that sometimes I wish them here we'll never know I guess.

(this is me actually not a boy when I was 5 yrs old)

I graduated and finished school on time and with good grades that I am proud of. I worked hard and study hard because I fear failing, I am absolutely scared of failing a subject. My favorite years in school was during my High School years. I found a group of friends which I will and forever treasure in my heart though most of them I see from time to time some I lost touch with but they're the best and one of the truest people I have met so far in my life. High school days was filled with fun as well as challenges: overnight projects; advance studying because of early exams during end of school year; school events and activities; how happy we are when there's teachers meeting and all that because we can go to one of my friends house and just hang out and laugh non stop.

College was a learning stage for me and molded me to be an independent person. It was a struggle for me to live alone, learn how to cook to survive a day and to take care of myself when I am sick. It taught me how to make a better choices in life. Choose friends who will be a good influence to you. College is just tough but I passed and survived and graduated with a Bachelor degree. Thanks to my parents who helped me and my Nanay who visited me and scold me most of the time because I am so stubborn maybe because I am used to living alone by that time.

After graduation I am eager to work abroad and that was my goal. While I am preparing for it and waiting for my documents to be prepared I decided to work for the meantime and I looked for a job that would not hold me back if ever I wanted to resign after a few months. So the ideal job for me was to work in a Call Center which I think really benefited me, helping me feel confident having conversation with other nationalities and being so familiar with their accents. With that experience it was easy for me to adjust in certain accents. I met few people that I can call my friends but like some we rarely talk. I just wish we still have that bond that I had with them but I think the distance really takes its toll.

Leaving my family was hard. I thought it was easy but it wasn't. I was in doubt leaving that day because of  uncertainty that awaits me. I landed UAE February 2008 and the hardship and trials starts. Looking for a job when you are in a time period was difficult all you can think about were "when will I be hired?", "my visa will expire soon", "what will I do?". I am not used to this kind of life and the only thing that motivates me is the will of not failing my family and to prove something to myself. After one extension of my visa and it took me 3 months and 2 weeks to find a Job I was hired finally that was June 2008. I'm still trying to get back the money that I have lost and just basically to survive day by day. Since I had been trying to save as much as I can I don't call to my parents and Nanay that much and that is my biggest regret. Everytime I call home and hear the voice of my Nanay or sisters it really breaks my heart because the difference of living 2 hrs away from home and living in a different country, anytime you miss them you can just ride a taxi and be with them. When you live in a different country the only thing you can do is cry and be sad unless you can afford to lose to your job or you have enough money to buy a plane ticket.  I received a news that Nanay was hospitalized and sick I called almost everyday but I didn't talked to my grandmother because I know I will breakdown when I hear her, then One morning I received a call from my Tita in KSA that she died. I feel like I also died that day with regrets, hatred and bitterness that I never had the chance of seeing her once more specially of talking to her just because I can't. I am just so selfish of my pain that I never allowed myself to be understanding of her pain. If God will give me a chance to be with my grandmother for 1 day in exchange of my existence I will not think twice. This by far the most painful event in my life. Travelled back for her and went back to UAE after a week.

I found another job in a better company after 2 years from my first job and stayed with them for 5 years. I still live in UAE up to now with my husband.

✿ ❤ ❤ ❤ ✿

Love, ohhh love. I have a fair share of failed relationships and stories and of course TOTGT until I met my husband. I read something that you only fall in love with 3 people in a lifetime. Well I think I actually fell in love with 4 people in my life. The first one says its a young love, an idealistic love, the one that seems like a fairytale that we read. Well, my first love was during my high school days, my actual first love. They say that you won't be able to move on with your first love? Well I did. We broke up because I respect my religion and the rules that I have to follow. Did it feel right when we broke up? Oh well it's a pain I can't explain but I thought I won't be able to love again however I did.

Second love says it is your hard love, the one that teaches us lessons about who we are and how we often want or need to be loved. This is the kind of love that hurts. Well it did hurt big time like Adele's songs. It did taught me tons maybe that's why I am a tougher person now and that was a 7 years relationship. I thought he will be that person I will be married with but God did have a plan for me so it ended by the 7th year and I am thankful. It's an emotional rollercoaster maybe because you were trying to be mature but then you're not because you still don't know what it is like actually. You just believe in love and love alone and sometimes it's a selfish love. There's a lot of painful moments, a lot of sadness and hurt yet I keep coming back, I did tried to move on and dated few wonderful and amazing guys but he will come back and the cycle will start again. I was so down and my self esteem was zero during those years and I always believe that I deserve it all. I was broken! I am a wreck! And one day I woke up and I said I am done with this relationship and I am ready to move on totally, I never looked back. Though it cause me so much pain and hurt like big time it still gave me happiness and some good memories.

Then to the person who got away. Well the person who I never realized I needed in my life because I was so focused with someone that I never realized that he might be the one...the person I needed, his love for me might be the one that I needed. He was always around when I needed him and then he got tired of me hurting him like years of hurting him (not just a year) because my heart belongs to someone else. His love for me was unfathomable and a normal person (who clearly is not me) will die to have that kind of love. He was my childhood love like childhood 5 years old love like that. I did love him though more than he think I did. I think our timing is just always not right. There's one time that I really needed him that I though the best way was for me to run away with him but he was already happy that time and knowing that I am a human wrecking ball to him and his life a decided to leave him alone and then I decided to leave the country.

3rd and final love, the love that we never see coming. The one that usually looks all wrong for us and that destroys any lingering ideals we clung to about what love is supposed to be. This is the love that comes so easy it doesn't seem possible. It's the kind where the connection can't be explained and knocks us off our feet because we never planned for it and that is my now husband. The person who I thought I will never love but I did because were just so opposite like REALLY opposite. I think the only thing that we were alike was our love of reading books that's it. If I needed a friend he can be my friend. He is the person I trust most. I can be who I am with him. He brings so much happiness in my life but sometimes he does get into my nerves, most specially when he talks too much. On the other hand he knows what to say to comfort me. You will be surprised that I love romantic things and gestures, and  yet he is not like that. So since we became a couple I've learned not to expect for something romantic. I remembered one time it was our Dating Anniversary and when I arrived home from work there's a cake in the kitchen and since I'm used to No flowers and chocolates in every occasion I didn't noticed it at all I just went straight to the fridge sit in the counter and rest and talk to him until he mentioned the cake and I was speechless and embarrassed. So him being like that... I can live with it anyways he accepts every mood I have even when I am being obnoxious (It's just fair).

When you got married people always asks when will you have a baby? This question is a very very sensitive to me and people just ask them so casually. Seriously think of that question before asking it to somebody because you don't know what's going on with their lives maybe they're having a hard time getting pregnant or maybe she has a condition that makes her unable to carry a baby. So people keep on asking me that question and here is my answer.. WE DECIDED NOT TO HAVE A BABY. Shocking right?! Well years of fertility treatment and wasted money, miscarriage and my body and mental health just can't cope up anymore. I became more depressed and unhappy to the point that I just got scared of having my period. I prayed a lot..crying while  I am praying asking for just one child and one day I just prayed that whatever God's plan for us it will be done. That day I was freed, I slowly became happier and just living my life. Our relationship became stronger. We actually became more in love with each other and just lifted. Do I still wish to have a child? If it is God's will I will gladly accept it. I still have my Godchild though and I enjoy seeing them and taking care of them from time to time.

Dealing with health issues. I have issues more than you  think my body can handle. I think yearly I am getting a new diagnosis. I have chosen to become a Vegetarian because it does help me feel better and tons of food to avoid being Vegetarian was just the best option for me. I have a severe Acid reflux that I just found out last June meaning my love for lemons, oranges, pineapples, spicy food, spaghetti, pizza, Chocolates, teas and coffee are over. So basically I am a living boring eating person and eating everyday can sometimes be a trial and error, It will end up either making you curl up into a ball in pain or makes you full and happy. This past few months I had been trying to workout more and trying to be healthier. It does help with my mental health and depression never thought it would but it does and that's what I am planning to continue doing. I also have an Asthma ever since I was a little and every 3 month I see my doctor for routine check up and refills. It worsen when I live here in UAE because of the dusty and sandy environment. Another is my Gout thanks to my ever dearest Father so my love for fish sauce was also over. What I hate about this gout is that sometimes it affects my running. If I'm not careful about what I put in my body the next day I have to endure the pain of running and training.

                                                                       ↣♡♡♡↢

Will that be the end of my story? maybe not we will never know but for now that's all I can share. My 32 years of existence ups and downs. So do you think I live a good life? All I can say is that... As long as I am breathing and God is with me, my husband is with me, my family is with me, I have a good life.

OUR SHORT TRIP TO THE PHILIPPINES

Long time no blog!

As an update here is a Vlog that my sister and I did (more like my sister).
Due to some issues that I needed to resolve, Me and my husband travelled to Philippines to sort it out.  Unfortunately few days before our flight I received a news from my cousin that our Grandmother died (my father's mom). It was such a shock and such a saddening news but that's life is. We will never know when or until when will God give us the time to live.

So we arrived in Manila at 4:00 in the afternoon and rest for few hours and we left our place 11:00 in the evening and drove up to north for almost 10 hrs. I know such a long drive right? We just stayed there for a night in a beautiful resort called Playa Tropical which is just a few kilometers away from our house in Ilocos where my grandmother is. We paid our respect to my grandmother and gave some support to my father and our relatives. It was a very sad visit I can say but on the other hand seeing our relatives specially my cousins was also a good thing because I haven't seen them for maybe 10 years already or maybe more than that.

I love Ilocos Norte! of course that's our province but also it's a very special place for me and holds a lot of memories growing up and also the people are just so...so...so warm and lovely and kind and welcoming. It will "always" be a place so dear to me even if I don't visit Ilocos more often than I should I will always come back to that place.

After our visit to my Grandmother the second day we travelled back to Manila and left Ilocos at 5:30 in the afternoon. Leaving my father in that state where he needed our support was such heartbreaking for me but I had some appointments and errands the next day that I needed to finish before flying back to UAE. We just stayed in Manila for a week and almost everyday was a busy day. Always so glad that one of my sister accompany us.

So... yeah, that's how our short stay in Manila ended and we took some vlogs here and there so
E N J O Y !!!

FACE OF THE DAY (Purple Mood)

I was looking so tired today because I watched Twilight Saga until 4:00 in the morning so I decided to put on some colour on my face and this is the result of playing with some purple tones.

This past few days I had been loving my foundation routine, It's actually simple but it's all about perfecting the base and smoothing the skin to give it the glow that you needed specially when you're  a bit tired like I am now. Mental note never watched a series of movie at night when you're supposed to be in bed! better do it in the morning.

I had been trying this new skincare routine that I think it's working well and my skin is loving it and that's my concern right now because like me, I'm confused about what my skin condition is at this moment. I used to have a Combination to Oily skin but now I feel like it's more on the drier side sometimes it's balanced. So changing all the products that I use for my face was the absolute ideal thing to do.

So after waking up and realizing the damage that I had done I go straight to the shower, prep my tea and to my makeup table. So this is the run down of the products that I used. I am focus on the newest eyeshadow I bought and it's this lovely purple colour called Highly Charged from MAC.

Face
Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation in Cashew Beige to even out the skin
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW 20 to highlight and cover those tired eyes
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder to seal the base
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder to give the face some definition and colour
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Nymph to make your face look alive with this baby pink blush

Eyes

Make up Forever Aqua Brow in 25 to fill in those unruly brows
Urban Decay Primer Potion to prime those eyelids and prep for the colours
MAC Electric Cool Eyeshadow in Highly Charged the focal point of the makeup to be put all over the lid
MAC eyeshadow in Texture serve as a transition colour but just a little
MAC eyeshadow in Paradisco mixed with
MAC eyeshdow in Stars n' Rockets to blend the edges of the Highly charged just on the crease and a swept a little more to cat eye effect
MAC eyeshadow in Blacktied to define the lashline
MAC Eye Khol in Smolder to tightline and apply on the waterline
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Candid Violet to blend the Smolder on the waterline and smoke it out
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black to intensify the lashes

Lips

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Natural define the lips
MAC Lipstick in Angel to bring out the lightness on the lips
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige

With the hair I just blowdried and iron it a bit. Definitely wanted to cut my hair back to it's form 2 months ago but my sister is getting married on June so I need to grow my hair but after that I'm gonna cut it short again! Loving the short hair more than the long hair.
What do you think?

MONTHLY FAVOURITES: NOVEMBER 2015

Welcoming back my posts on favourite products for the month!!!

I know I had been failing to post continuously on my blog and that's because of personal things that I had been dealing with these past months and so. There's a lot of things that had happened that I have to put my priority first. It was something that I needed to do personally and deal with personally and I don't want to throw my depression and anger out there. But the good thing is I'm back and maybe because my sister inspires and motivate me to continue blogging. So thanks to her.

To get back on the routine of blogging here's my top favourite things for the month of November. Let's start with beauty products

Favourite Make up Products:

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation -
I had been loving the finish of my foundation with this on top of it. Even if I already wear a full coverage foundation I still seal it with this powder to give it a matte and perfect skin look. Honestly I was not into this product before and just kept it on my drawers with other unused products but when I started clearing out most of my make up I decided to give it a try and I just love it. Since then I had been using it everyday. I'm using the shade NC 40 because I noticed that with MAC Studio Fix Powder I had to go 1-2 shade darker. I am currently NC 25 or 30 with Stuio Fix Fluid Foundation.

MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2 -
What can I say about this lipstick? Oh that's right I love it so so so much! If I can wear it to sleep I will wear it that's how I love this lipstick, seriously! I's just the perfect colour that will make you look awake and there is something about this shade that makes me happy maybe because it's orange and bright and just yell sunshine. If you have a tan it will be perfect. I was wearing it the whole time when my husband and I went for a trip to Fujairah and enjoy the beach and sun, I just love it! Top fave!

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette -
I am a collector of Naked Palette and when Urban Decay announced the release of this palette I was like "No way, Why?!!!". I am very disappointed and I just don't like the idea at all. But when Gabriella or Velvetghost kept on saying how much she likes on most of her videos I was like okay let me try it and if I will not like it I will just give it to my sister. So I bought it and that's the start of my love with easy smokey look even became my everyday makeup look.

Favourite Skin Care Product:

Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser -
I'm a lover of Herbalism and had been using it for a couple of years now but suddenly my skin became dry so I need to change my skin care and the so I went to Lush and they let me try this product for days, they gave me a sample and after trying it for a week I went back and grab a tub and what I noticed is that it gave me a soft, clean feel after washing and it really leaves your skin moisturize and the smell is divine! Smells like a yummy nutty breakfast.

Olay Total Effects 7 in one Night Firming Moisturizer -
I as on the hunt for a good anti ageing moisturizer after reaching 30 and the change of my skin type I decide to try anti ageing products so for a start moisturizer is a good choice. So I ask my sister what's a good anti ageing moisturizer because she already started using it 3 years ago and she recommended the Olay. Since I trust my sister (sometimes) I bought one and seriously the next day your skin looks well rested. I think I just found my favourite night cream. I'm still not sure about the firming though.

Favourite Hair Product:

OGX Renewing Argan Oil of MoroccoWeightless healing dry oil -
What a mouthful!!! Actually I had been using this oil for I think less than a year since I retouched my Ombre and just because Ombre makes your hair really dry I know I need to have a product that will help my hair restore it's beauty. So Since then I had been using it even if I cut my hair really short now I still use it because I feel like it leaves my hair seriously soft and smell so good. My advice if you colour your hair all the time or style it with hot tools you might consider trying healing oil to bring back the life in your hair.

Non beauty Favourite :

IPAD Mini 4 -
I had the First IPAD Mini since it was released in 2012 and that's was my most precious possession. It never leave my side I bring it everywhere. It's my most used Apple Product more than my phone. It's where I do most of my editing like my blog, photos and I use it watch youtube will doing tasks as well as store important appointments, to do's, plans, reminders, office and books, though I still prefer my kindle when it comes to reading book. So due to updates of IOS it became slow and playing youtube was a pain and I end up not using it anymore until Apple opened a store in YAS MALL and when we visited it one time I saw the Ipad Mini 4 and decided to just buy a new one. It was a total relief and I'm so happy that I bought a new one it was way...way better than my old mini. Plus I love that it's Gold. Back with my best friend.

Current Favourite Song:

Sorry by Justin Beiber -
I am not a fan of Justin Beiber but I like his songs. I'm actually not expecting that his album will be that good but it is and it's really really good. I'm like dancing and singing and it's playing 24/7 in my house specially when I'm alone and my husband is not around. I'm like partying in Justin Beiber's beat.

Favourite Book :

The Magic String of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom-
I will not go more into this book because it deserve a full review. But if you are looking for a good book to read you will never go wrong with this. It's one of those book that when you start reading it you can't stop. I'm so happy that I bought this book and brought it on our small trip. It makes my heart break many time, but thought you more about ultimate forgiveness.

Favourite Game :

Splatoon
I was looking for a good 3ds game in youtube and I stumble on this colourful fun game and I was like I need this game right now and I don't even own a Wii U.  I know that there is a Wii U that comes with a Splatoon Game so I checked on a local store where I use to buy my games and they have it so I drove there and bought it and went home and that 1st week I didn't sleep well because I was like so into it and until now I'm so into it and even right at this moment thinking about it makes me wanna grab the pad and play. It's addicting and fun.

Favourite TV Show:

The Kitchen -
I love cooking show because I love cooking basically and most of the time when I had time to watch I'm watching either Food Network or E. So when I discovered The Kitchen which is aired from Monday-Friday every 6:00 pm. It's an hour program hosted by all star Food Network chefs. They give you tips on cooking, shows easy recipes, explore new kitchen products. What I like about this program is that the hosts characters and humor are so well balanced that they really shows cooking is fun and enjoying with friends and family.

5 LIPSTICK TO ROCK THIS WINTER

Change of season means change of trends again, and this time we're back to bold autumn-Christmas-holiday trend. So from the very colorful spring and summer we're jumping to plums and red for fall and winter. Personally, I love the cooler months than the warmer months because of the extreme heat we experience here in UAE plus every time it starts to get cold I feel like the Christmas is very very near which everyone loves, right?. And since I'm inspired right now with the coldness around me, I will share with you my few lipstick that I always wore whenever this season arrives.

This is my go to red lipstick that I always wore for some special occasion or dinner out with my husband or friends. Who never want's a red lipstick during this time of the year? The matte is very classic and I just love the matte finish on red lipsticks. Sometimes I also wear Riri Woo from Mac as well. The only thing about this lipstick is that it's a bit drying so you have to put balm on your lips before applying the lipstick.

This is my all year round if I wanted to rock a very bright pink lips. I use this on days where I wanted to tone down the red or plum lips. A good bold pink lipstick is a great alternative for a red lipstick and also it's a very girly kind of lipstick that's suitable for a more daytime wear. So if you're not into red or plum lips then I say go for a bright pink or fuchsia.

In door shoot (true colour)
(L to R : Miley 2, RiRi Woo , Ruby Woo, Girl About Town , D for Danger , Rebel , Tawny Pink , Sultry)

Window shoot with natural light
(L to R : Miley 2, RiRi Woo , Ruby Woo, Girl About Town , D for Danger , Rebel , Tawny Pink , Sultry)

3. MAC REBEL
There were days when I wanted to feel bolder and this lipstick is my must have for that. This lipstick is on a dark plumier vampy lipstick. This has been a hit for fall look. Last year was the first time I tried plums because usually I only go for nude and pinks but not plums I never thought it will suit me but when I went to MAC and had the courage to try it, I was so surprised that it suits me. So now this lipstick is part of my top fall-winter must have.

If you have a tan skin or medium yellow skintone this colour will be a good choice for you. It's an bright orangey red and screams fun Autumn. The first time I saw it at MAC store I thought oh no no no this is a wrong colour it's too bright. But when I went back to MAC and tried it without hesitations bought it with the gloss. It was a matte but not drying at all. It's very comfortable on your lips. So if you were like me who has a more on medium yellow skin-tone. You will like this product.

This is my everyday daytime lipstick if I was going for a toned down look.  This is also a matte lipstick but because its very creamy it glides on perfectly on your lips and doesn't give you that drying feel on your lips. It's more on a pinkish with a brown tone to it perfect for this season. This is a bit pricey but a perfect dupe was a popular Revlon Matte in Sultry which I also have and sometimes switch between the 2.

6. MAC D FOR DANGER
Just because I can't leave this out I really need to include this on my Top. Let's just consider is as a bonus (wink). This is a brick red colour that a bit bolder than red lipstick. Of course a matte lipstick as well. I tend to not try brick reds because I feel like it makes me look older but this was an exemption to that. It does complement my skin and really lovely to any skintone. If you want something bolder than red try this shade and you will be in love.

So that's my top 5 fall-winter lipsticks. What's your's?

CHRISTMAS HONG KONG TRIP 2014

Just before I jump into Christmas season I wanna share our trip to Hong Kong last December 2014 just before Christmas.

We planned to visit my father last October for my birthday however due to some work stuff we decided to move the trip to December since we are already scheduled to travel to Philippines and just squeeze in the Hong Kong trip so I booked our flights and hotel after my husband agreed with the plan.

We stayed in the Philippines for 10 days and spent 4 days in Hong Kong. The temperature in UAE just before we leave was going down like 15 degree and when we arrived in Manila it was like 30 degrees. I knew by the sudden change of temperature that I will be sick and just before our flight to Hong Kong I was really ill like my nose are clogged and I am coughing. During our flight I was in pain because I can't hear anything and the pain in my head was just tormenting. Flying with colds was not a very good idea and I've learned my lesson the hardest way. I don't want to cancel our trip and my father was already expecting us.

First thing we do after we reached our hotel is drink a bottle of water and grab some medicines and rest for few hours and forget about me being sick and just continue with our itineraries. Of course I will never leave Hong Kong without eating on my favorite fastfood chain the Cafe de Coral which is just 3 mins walk from our hotel (Lucky me). Then, of course Mongkok to shop.

Second day was my sister's arrival so we planned on meeting her and walk around Kawloon where we used to live and did I already mentioned that I was so sick during that day but nothing can stop us specially when my sister is around.

Third day was Ocean Park day and dinner with on of my besties who live and work in Hong Kong too.

and dinner with on of my besties who live and work in Hong Kong too.

Last day was just malling and buying stuff plus search for my husband's favorite egg tart meaning walking for 30 mins using waze a very useful app when you're lost.

Though I am sick the trip was still fun and being back to Hong Kong feels like childhood days most specially walking through those streets where we used to walk and eating foods when I use to sneak out from my grandmother and being there with my sister and father like before, who cares if I'm sick.

MAC HUGGABLE LIPSTICK

I was so happy when they offered me to have a sneek peak on the MAC Huggable Collection when I was in the MAC last February and I made a reservation for some of the shades from this collection. Originally MAC released 12 colors for this collection and I bought 6.

MAC claims that this lipsticks can provide lasting finish that leaves lips smooth and sculpted up to 6 hours. I think the finish was more like a cremsheen to me that's why I like it but it's sheer that it somehow reminds me also of the lip butter lipsticks. I like also how it makes your lips moisturized though application was not as smooth as I want it to be but not like matte lipstick that you have to drag it. but once you applied the first coat it glides on well. I prefer to apply it over a lipbalm just a small amount then the lipstick so it will just glide on smoothly. The packaging is also nice, I like how they change the color not the classic black MAC packaging. I think this will be great for Spring because of it's texture and finish.

So the colors that I got are the Feeling Amorous,What a Feeling, Love Beam, Out for Passion , Fresh and Frisky and Touche.

Feeling Amorous is a mid-tone fuchsia
What a Feeling is a mid-tone cool pink
Love Beam is a mid-tone warm pink
Out of Passion is a soft warm rose
Fresh and Frisky is a soft neutral peach

MAC LIPSTICK HAUL

(Riri Woo, All fired up , Speak Louder ,Fanfare)

I don't know why I am liking a bright lips right now usually I go for a more natural nude lips but I think bright  lips is my go to lippies right now except when I go to work but weekend or if I'm having a dinner or hanging out with friends I wore bright lips.

So I went to MAC or my sister hunt it for me since she's privilege on going everywhere in the world I ask her to hunt the Riri Woo and the All fired up lipstick for me.

I kept on avoiding the Riri Woo lipstick because for me it's just like the Ruby woo which is on the permanent line but when MAC release the Holiday collection I was sold because of the packaging who would never love a rose gold and white packaging? Since the Holiday collection was release in the UAE I think last February or End of January and they didn't include the lipstick which I think is a big disappointment for those people who are waiting for the collection and I'm one of them. I really wanted the pleasure bomb and no matter what I do my sister don't want to give it to me because she likes it too. That's the reason why I bought the next color which I think closely looks like the Pleasure Bomb.

The next item that I asked my sister to hunt for me and I think she found it in Australia was the All fired up and it was from the Retro Matte Collection. It's a bright fuchsia and really really lovely on my skin tone if only I can wear it at work I will but I don't want my boss distracted because of my bright lips. This is one of my favorite bright lips plus it's matte and I love matte.

I also bought ( me going to MAC store) 2 lipstick because that time I'm so stressed and I need something to make me happy so I went to MAC and look for something and I saw this color called Speak Louder and I like it so I was swatching it with few more lipsticks but it really speaks to me to get him so I ended up getting it. It's a Cremesheen and describe as a clean poppy blue pink and was just lovely and perfect for Spring.I really love the finish of Cremesheen and how they glide smoothly on your lips and I think you heard me mention it a lot now so I'll stop and jump in to my last purchase.

The last lipstick that I got was actually my husbands choice was the Fanfare. He also prefer nude natural lips on me and just ignore it when I use bright lips. This is also a Cremesheen finish because I love it. It's describe as a mid-tone yellow pink but for me it falls on a very light pinky coral shade. Most of the time now this is what I use in the office and it never leaves my bag. It makes my lips look so natural but better. This I think will fall on my most used lipsticks.

That's all I bought from MAC and I also have a few collections from MAC coming up so make sure you visit my blog.

Have a great day!

LAURA MERCIER HAUL

I accidentally discovered the Laura Mercier when I was trying to explore the newly opened mall near my work and heard that there is a House of Fraser now in that mall so I went there and after few turns in front of me was the Laura Mercier Counter and I almost jumped because of excitement. I had been a huge fan of Laura Mercier for years now and the only time I can purchase Laura Mercier products is when I visit Philippines which is once a year. So having Laura Mercier in Abu Dhabi is very convenient for me. I hope NARS will be next.

So this are the items that I purchased and for sure I will be back soon because I wanted to try their skin care and the Caviar stick so bad.

LAURA MERCIER SILK CREME FOUNDATION IN CASHEW BEIGE
I heard a lot of good things about this foundation and had been wanting to try it before but I never wanted a full coverage foundation but now since my skin is in bad situation I decided to try it. This is seriously a full cover foundation like no joke. You need a tiny bit and it goes a long way. I like how this sit on my skin but I can't wear it without a primer underneath because it does glides on my skin after 4-5 hours and to avoid that I have to use a good primer. I also like how luminous your skin like it's fresh and alive. the only downside I can say with this foundation is it doesn't last all day maximum hours with the primer will be 8 hours and you will start seeing blotchiness on some areas. And also I wanted to mention that even though I have a light-medium skin I use the 2 to the last shade and I think their range suits light - medium skin tones so if you have a dark skin tone even the darkest shade will not suit you.

LAURA MERCIER TRANSLUCENT LOOSE SETTING POWDER
I was planning on buying the Skin brightening powder but the lady really sold me to this powder and because I don't like the finish of a Translucent powder because of their white cast or sometimes it looks grey on my skin but this Translucent loose powder was like a heaven sent for me. It's not you're usual white translucent powder it's beige and really fits on which I think till medium skin tone. I also love how fine the talc is that really sits well on your skin.Since I purchase it I never stopped using it and maybe this will fall on my most loved products and if I run out of it I will repurchase it again till they stop making it but I hope not.

LAURA MERCIER HAND CREME IN AMBER VANILLA
Just before I pay the lady introduced me to the skincare products and I was never interested on skin care products from any make up brand and I don't know why. So she asked me to smell the scents of each tub and I was seriously wanted to buy all of them because the scent is so amazing but I know if I will go crazy buying skin care my husband will start questioning me. So I decided to grab the Hand creme and will be back with the body creme for sure I can't wait to finish all my body butter and go back to Laura Mercier and bring that baby home. So back to the hand creme I was really sold by the scent and next is the texture compared to my Body Shop hand creme I like how moisturizing this hand creme is and also the scent even if you wash your hand the trace of the scent is still there. I just love it and my husband likes the smell to I'm a sucker for vanilla scent and amber.

LAURA MERCIER OIL-FREE FOUNDATION PRIMER
After my last purchase from Laura Mercier I decided to go back and get a primer for my Silk Creme foundation and I asked for the Oil free one. I ca't actually say if I love this product or not for me it's a normal primer but if I wanted my foundation to stay longer this would not be the primer that I will use. I think this primer suits more on my Make up forever Mat velvet plus or MAC Select Fluid Foundation where the consistency really clings to your skin really well and tends to last longer than the normal foundation. However I haven't tried the Oil free foundation of Laura using this primer maybe they will fit together. But now I will find a way to use it with other type of foundation.

So that is it for my Laura Mercier trip hope you like it. If you're in Abu Dhabi go check laura mercier in House of Fraser in World trade Center Mall or if you're living outside UAE and interested in trying their products I would definitely recommend the Loose Powder and the Hand Creme.

Have a great day guys!
