5 LIPSTICK TO ROCK THIS WINTER

Change of season means change of trends again, and this time we're back to bold autumn-Christmas-holiday trend. So from the very colorful spring and summer we're jumping to plums and red for fall and winter. Personally, I love the cooler months than the warmer months because of the extreme heat we experience here in UAE plus every time it starts to get cold I feel like the Christmas is very very near which everyone loves, right?. And since I'm inspired right now with the coldness around me, I will share with you my few lipstick that I always wore whenever this season arrives.

This is my go to red lipstick that I always wore for some special occasion or dinner out with my husband or friends. Who never want's a red lipstick during this time of the year? The matte is very classic and I just love the matte finish on red lipsticks. Sometimes I also wear Riri Woo from Mac as well. The only thing about this lipstick is that it's a bit drying so you have to put balm on your lips before applying the lipstick.

This is my all year round if I wanted to rock a very bright pink lips. I use this on days where I wanted to tone down the red or plum lips. A good bold pink lipstick is a great alternative for a red lipstick and also it's a very girly kind of lipstick that's suitable for a more daytime wear. So if you're not into red or plum lips then I say go for a bright pink or fuchsia.

3. MAC REBEL
There were days when I wanted to feel bolder and this lipstick is my must have for that. This lipstick is on a dark plumier vampy lipstick. This has been a hit for fall look. Last year was the first time I tried plums because usually I only go for nude and pinks but not plums I never thought it will suit me but when I went to MAC and had the courage to try it, I was so surprised that it suits me. So now this lipstick is part of my top fall-winter must have.

If you have a tan skin or medium yellow skintone this colour will be a good choice for you. It's an bright orangey red and screams fun Autumn. The first time I saw it at MAC store I thought oh no no no this is a wrong colour it's too bright. But when I went back to MAC and tried it without hesitations bought it with the gloss. It was a matte but not drying at all. It's very comfortable on your lips. So if you were like me who has a more on medium yellow skin-tone. You will like this product.

This is my everyday daytime lipstick if I was going for a toned down look.  This is also a matte lipstick but because its very creamy it glides on perfectly on your lips and doesn't give you that drying feel on your lips. It's more on a pinkish with a brown tone to it perfect for this season. This is a bit pricey but a perfect dupe was a popular Revlon Matte in Sultry which I also have and sometimes switch between the 2.

6. MAC D FOR DANGER
Just because I can't leave this out I really need to include this on my Top. Let's just consider is as a bonus (wink). This is a brick red colour that a bit bolder than red lipstick. Of course a matte lipstick as well. I tend to not try brick reds because I feel like it makes me look older but this was an exemption to that. It does complement my skin and really lovely to any skintone. If you want something bolder than red try this shade and you will be in love.

So that's my top 5 fall-winter lipsticks. What's your's?

CHRISTMAS HONG KONG TRIP 2014

Just before I jump into Christmas season I wanna share our trip to Hong Kong last December 2014 just before Christmas.

We planned to visit my father last October for my birthday however due to some work stuff we decided to move the trip to December since we are already scheduled to travel to Philippines and just squeeze in the Hong Kong trip so I booked our flights and hotel after my husband agreed with the plan.

We stayed in the Philippines for 10 days and spent 4 days in Hong Kong. The temperature in UAE just before we leave was going down like 15 degree and when we arrived in Manila it was like 30 degrees. I knew by the sudden change of temperature that I will be sick and just before our flight to Hong Kong I was really ill like my nose are clogged and I am coughing. During our flight I was in pain because I can't hear anything and the pain in my head was just tormenting. Flying with colds was not a very good idea and I've learned my lesson the hardest way. I don't want to cancel our trip and my father was already expecting us.

First thing we do after we reached our hotel is drink a bottle of water and grab some medicines and rest for few hours and forget about me being sick and just continue with our itineraries. Of course I will never leave Hong Kong without eating on my favorite fastfood chain the Cafe de Coral which is just 3 mins walk from our hotel (Lucky me). Then, of course Mongkok to shop.

Second day was my sister's arrival so we planned on meeting her and walk around Kawloon where we used to live and did I already mentioned that I was so sick during that day but nothing can stop us specially when my sister is around.

Third day was Ocean Park day and dinner with on of my besties who live and work in Hong Kong too.

Last day was just malling and buying stuff plus search for my husband's favorite egg tart meaning walking for 30 mins using waze a very useful app when you're lost.

Though I am sick the trip was still fun and being back to Hong Kong feels like childhood days most specially walking through those streets where we used to walk and eating foods when I use to sneak out from my grandmother and being there with my sister and father like before, who cares if I'm sick.
