HAUL BOOTS AND LIFESTYLE

I snooped around the mall today to grabbed some stuff that I needed and saw some other interesting items on the boots and Body shop.

I first went to the Body Shop to get another Body butter because I'm using the body butter like crazy since cooler months means drier skin so moisturizing is a must on winter. Surprisingly I saw that my favorite Japanese Blossoms has returned and I'm literally so..so happy, and I can't explain how happy I am to see it back on the Body shop.I purchased 2 just to make sure and will be returning back soon to buy more. I also noticed that they changed the packaging to white and pink because before it was pink and black I'm 100% sure that you will be seeing this on my monthly favorites.

I also purchased a good moisturizing Hand Cream from Body Shop and it's called Almond Hand & Nail Cream. This smell so good and so pleasant I'm actually not a big fan of hand cream but during winter it's a must for me to have a hand cream in my purse all the time. I was just hoping that they have a smaller tube for this hand cream so it wont be as heavy as this one and it will be easier to fit in your smaller purse.

Then I need to buy my favorite Victoria secret scent the Amber Rush. I love it specially when I'm at home or just feeling lazy and need a warmth smell on my body. This scent never runs out on my collection it's a staple scent for me if I saw that I'm running low on it I make sure that I will buy another before I emptied it.

Then I went to Boots to buy a Dry Shampoo and right now I'm loving the Batiste Dry Shampoo for dark and deep brown hair to keep my hair smells lovely and remove some greasiness on the scalp specially at the end of the day. Though I find that this stain my white pillows so maybe after the 2 bottles that I bought I will be switching to the regular ones.

Then I went to the Barry M section to see if they have the Gelly nail paint and they have it finally!!! So I took the chance of grabbing Blueberry which is a pastle blue but more on the brighter ones and a Pomegranate which is a pinkish red and very nice for this season and I might grab some more colors because this is seriously nice and thick and last a week without chipping considering that my most nail polishes doesn't last on my nails that long.

And since I'm in the cosmetic section I grabbed the opportunity to see the new lashes from Buorjois and ended up getting a dramatic one than the natural one because I found a Kiss Natural lashes more attractive than the Buorjois Natural so I also buy one.

After Boots my last stop was the Lifestyle to check the NYX lipglosses because I'm a huge fan and I had been waiting for the Beige to arrive that's why I keep on checking the NYX when I got a chance. And to my surprise it was available and without a doubt I get one and 2 more lipglosses which is a Tea Rose and Nude Pink.

This last purchase was something that I had been wanting to buy but end up skipping it, It's the Revlon Kissable Lip Balm in Honey maybe the reason why I kept my hands off this product is because of the smell. It's like a leafy mint and I'm not a fan of that smell but the color was lovely and so wearable for everyday but because of the color pay off I just took the risk of finally buying it.

That's it guys! Have a wonderful day keep warm and happy!

CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA FOUNDATION

I bought this foundation 5 weeks ago and I had been using them quiet a lot and I decided to review it and give my thoughts about this foundation.
Since it's getting cooler I need a foundation that's a bit lighter because my skin tends to be drier to normal on cooler months than on summer. I had been a MAC foundation fan for so long so I decided to try some other brands and decided to go for Chanel.

So I went to Sephora to check the Chanel and ask the lady on the counter of what foundation is best for me and she gave me the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation which is very lightweight and good as everyday foundation. When it comes to foundation I tend to go for a lightweight and not too thick and heavy like my MAC Studio Fix Foundation. The lady matched me on the shade B30 which I think is my perfect match at first I though it was B40 but it was a bit dark for me.

Packaging:
The packaging is very sleek and great for traveling. It's made of plastic so it won't explode on your luggage very practical I should say. The box packaging is very Chanel, like a classic Chanel design which is black with white writings and gold accent.

Formula & Application:
It's a water based formula so it's very liquidy and you need to shake it really well before using it because it separates. It's advised to best apply it with your fingers than any other brushes and avoid using sponge or else it will just absorb the foundation. I can say that the coverage is sheer to medium. It claims to look very natural like a second skin, which in my opinion it does actually gives a second layer of perfect radiant skin. It looks very velvety not dewy and not matte just a fresh skin look. But if you have a flaky dry skin it will emphasize it. If you have oily skin you need to wear a primer. I wear a primer only on my T zone area just to make it last longer. You will also be needing a concealer to conceal some spots that is still peeking through. You will also notice a fragrant scent to it, it doesn't bother me at all because it's very pleasant but if you're very sensitive with smell on your foundation you need to take it  into consideration because it's quite a strong scent. It also has an SPF 15 so good for everyday and a little white cast in flash photography.

Overall, I like this foundation, the formula and result is awesome. The downside for this foundation is that you need to moisturize well if you have some flaky spots especially around the nose and on your chin. I'm not sure if you can say that the price is also a downside of this product though it's expected because it's Chanel. It cost AED 215 for 30ml of foundation. If you're looking for a natural everyday foundation with SPF this is for you but if you're looking for a natural foundation but without SPF you should try the MAC Face and Body foundation.

URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE

Finally I had my Naked 3 Palette!

At last Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is available now  in Sephora Dubai and Abu Dhabi. And if you're like me and been a fan of the Urban Decay's Naked line then you know how it feels when this palette was released. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that the Naked 3 will be available here in the UAE that fast usually it took months but I think they know that the Naked 3 will be a big hit after being sold out so fast online and in stores.

The Naked 1 was on the bronzey hues more on the warmer colors the Naked 2 was Taupey hues which was on the cooler colors and the Naked 3 was on the Pink rosey hues which I think will suit warm or cool tones.

Looking at it on the Urban Decay's website I really wanted it so bad because who doesn't love pink and rose colors it suits everyone. Plus the packaging design is incredible like a rosey gold tin like the Naked 2 it also comes with a double ended brush and a sampler of the very famous Primer Potion.

Naked 3 still comes with 12  new rich creamy eye shadows a mixture of matte, satin and shimmer like the previous two palettes from lighter to darker shades.

First shade it the Strange which is described as a Pale Neutral Pink Matte-Satin - This is great for highlighting as always the first shades are.
Dust is the second shade and it's a Pale Metallic Pink Shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter, this one I find it a bit hard to work with but great as an accent like put it on top of your eye make up to give it a nice sparkle and I think it will be better to apply it wet that's what I did the first time I used it.
Burnout is a light pinky-peach satin this is really really nice love it on the inner half of my lid to brighten that area.
Limit is a light dusky rose matte good for transition color.
Buzz a metallic rose shimmer with silver micro glitter one of the medium color and great for all over the lids color.
Trick is a light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle this has a gold tone that reminds me of the naked 1 & 2 Half baked but this is more like the Naked 3 version with a coppery tone.

Nooner is a medium pinky-brown matte a great blending color.
Liar is a medium metallic mauve shimmer and I'm loving this so much one of my favorite on this palette. Factory is a pinky brown satin also a perfect lid color and another one of my favorite.
Mugshot is another one of my favorite and it's a metallic taupe shimmer with light pink shift perfect even alone.
Darkside is a deep taupe-mauve satin that's good for definition and the last color was the
Blackheart this one is crazy color black and red just crazy like great and unexpected its described as smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle.

(Nooner , Liar , Factory , Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart
Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick)

All I can say is that this is a must have. Ranking the 3 Naked Palette this will win the 2nd spot. First of course will be the Naked 1 and last will be the Naked 2 since it suits more cooler undertones. I can't wait to play with this more and this will stay in my makeup bag for months. Right now I don't want to choose what's my top favorite because I can't choose which is which but my least favorite I think is the Dust but I still can work with it like applying it wet.

This is sold in Sephora Dubai and Abu Dhabi for AED 279. So if you are interested in the Naked Palette 3 get it before it's gone because for sure it will sell out fast.

MAC HAUL

I went back to MAC to repurchase some items and check the RiRi Hearts Fall Collection which is by Rihanna. The first RiRi hearts collection was exclusively sold online so I didn't got a chance to buy that. And finally MAC released another collection for fall which is sold on the stores and internationally. Last Friday I when I received the message from MAC that it was out. I got so excited and wanted to go back to Abu Dhabi because we're on a trip that weekend so I waited till the next day and went straight to MAC. Unfortunately.... there's only few items left which I'm not interested in buying it was the mascara, lipliner, the lipgloss and the 2 lipstick which is the Who's that chick and the Riri Woo. As per MAC it was sold out within 2 hrs after they released it, which was expected since a lot of people was waiting for it to come out. The next day I decided to go to the newly opened MAC in World Trade Center Mall hoping that some of the items are still there...luckily some are still there except for the Talk that talk which is a  deep plum lipstick and the one that I'm really interested in buying which is the Hibiscus..too bad! However, I got the chance to check the other items on this collection which for me was well suited for darker skin tones. The nude lipstick was not for me because it was too brown, the Who's that chick is not my color even though I love orange tones because it suits medium skin tones but the gold tones was no no for me. The Riri woo is something I can't still decide because I wore red occasionally and Ruby woo is absolutely same as Riri woo though the Riri woo was a bit brighter however, for me it was the same maybe I'll try buying one on the RiRi Heart Holiday collection since I like the packaging of that collection more :) which is a white with rose gold! I'm also interested in the Creme color base but I break out on their Creme color base most of the time. So I skipped even though I really wanted to buy it. So I ended up buying the blusher which is absolutely perfect for fall you can skip using bronzer with this blush it's called Bad Girl Gone Good which is described as a warm copper with a satin finish.

And because I really wanted the Hibiscus I looked around and buy a blush that almost like the Hibiscus which for me was the Pinch o peach. They said that the Nars Amour was also a dupe for that so maybe if I visit Nars I'll check that.

Then I went and buy some more items that I needed like the MAC lipsticks in Pattiserie, Shanghai Spice, Creme Cup and Peach Blossoms.

NOVEMBER FAVORITES

It's time for the monthly favorites. I'm loving the weather right now here in the UAE, chilly in the morning and in the evening.. feels like Christmas is so..sooo...near! but before I get more excited with the Christmas let me just show you guys what I had been loving this past November.

Beauty Favorites

1. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation - I bought this foundation in Sephora a month ago and I had been using it everyday since then because I love how it gives my skin a glow specially when my skin looks so very very very tired. It's a very natural looking foundation almost like a perfect second skin. However this foundation is a bit sheer so you need to cover some spots with concealers if you have some to cover up.

2. MAC Lipstick in Creme cup - I have avoided and ignored this lipstick for so long because it was a bit brighter and lighter for my skin tone so I know it won't suit me. So when I went to MAC and give this lipstick a try surprisingly it complements my skin tone and even gives my look a hint of glow. So I'm using this lipstick everyday and I feel like sometimes it's easier to wear a lipstick on cooler months that gives your skin a icy cool look but some days when I want to be daring I a opt for darker lips.

3. MAC Mineralized Skin Finish - Since I had been using the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation I changed to my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish that's a hair darker than my skin so my skin will still look warmer instead of being pale. And I almost forget how much I love this product since I switched to MAC Careblend. But this Mineralized Skin Finish and the Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua together is awesome.Gives you a very natural healthy skin.

4. Bareminerals Eye shadow Quad in The Truth - I remember last year at this time of the year I also been using this a lot. It's more of like a wintery make up because it's darker like how I wear my eye makeup during cooler months. This make up is one of my go to eye shadow palette because the shades are very neutral and flexible. Sometimes for a quick makeup I just put a  bronze color base and use any brown on this palette all over my lids and along my lash line then few coats of mascara and that's it. If you haven't tried this palette you should because it's worth every penny and the pigmentation and texture is insane.

5. Elf Blush in Berry Merry - Yup I'm going for a more darker shades of pink now because it's nice to wear darker blushes too on the winter to get off the pale look. I often grab Gingerly from MAC or a darker pink but right now this Berry Merry is what I had been reaching a lot. Plus it has a blue undertone that glows on your skin and gives you a cooler look.. that's what I think.

6. Essie Nail polish in Hot Choco - Shades of brown again. I bought this nail polish a long time ago and haven't tried it yet. So when I was picking up a color on my drawer for nail polishes I realized that I haven't used it so I picked it and give it a try and it was like an escape for my Glamour Purse, so lovely. I think I should try Red and Pink soon.

7. Lancome Miracle Perfume - This is one of my seldom used perfume because I like it only on winter because I feel like this scent was a bit heavy specially if you applied too much. So I limit my spray to at least 4-6 sprays or else I'll change my clothes. My technique to avoid over spraying heavy scent perfume, I transfer some on my Travelo so I will be reminded that I need to apply less than the usual.

Non Beauty Favorites

1. Bath and Body Works Candle in Tis the Season - How I had been loving Christmas Scents is insane! I like a scent of spicy and warm on the house. It gives me comfort and reminds me of my family back home. I love this scent seriously it wasn't like those candles that when you burn it, it will take time for you to smell the scent it produce...this one once you lit it you will smell it after few seconds which I think will keep the candle for burning faster.

2. Hunger Games Trilogy - Yes I just finished the books and yes just now because I don't know why the Hunger Games movie, the first one, was not very appealing to me. But when I watched the Catching fire I'm convinced that I have to read the book so I did... and I'm glad I did. I'm now looking forward for the Mocking Jay movie.

3. Star Dance Album by Selena Gomez - I had been listening to this whenever I want to start my day in a cheerful mood because the beat and the music gives you a nice energy that will absolutely make you wanna dance. My husband whenever he sits with me on the car or I will drive him somewhere once I turn on my sound he will say "Selena again??"..that's how much I love her album plus it's very catchy and easy to follow.

So that's what I had been loving this month and I will be posting a review on the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation soon and some haul I did last week.
