FACE OF THE DAY (Purple Mood)

I was looking so tired today because I watched Twilight Saga until 4:00 in the morning so I decided to put on some colour on my face and this is the result of playing with some purple tones.

This past few days I had been loving my foundation routine, It's actually simple but it's all about perfecting the base and smoothing the skin to give it the glow that you needed specially when you're  a bit tired like I am now. Mental note never watched a series of movie at night when you're supposed to be in bed! better do it in the morning.

I had been trying this new skincare routine that I think it's working well and my skin is loving it and that's my concern right now because like me, I'm confused about what my skin condition is at this moment. I used to have a Combination to Oily skin but now I feel like it's more on the drier side sometimes it's balanced. So changing all the products that I use for my face was the absolute ideal thing to do.

So after waking up and realizing the damage that I had done I go straight to the shower, prep my tea and to my makeup table. So this is the run down of the products that I used. I am focus on the newest eyeshadow I bought and it's this lovely purple colour called Highly Charged from MAC.

Face
Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation in Cashew Beige to even out the skin
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW 20 to highlight and cover those tired eyes
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder to seal the base
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder to give the face some definition and colour
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Nymph to make your face look alive with this baby pink blush

Eyes

Make up Forever Aqua Brow in 25 to fill in those unruly brows
Urban Decay Primer Potion to prime those eyelids and prep for the colours
MAC Electric Cool Eyeshadow in Highly Charged the focal point of the makeup to be put all over the lid
MAC eyeshadow in Texture serve as a transition colour but just a little
MAC eyeshadow in Paradisco mixed with
MAC eyeshdow in Stars n' Rockets to blend the edges of the Highly charged just on the crease and a swept a little more to cat eye effect
MAC eyeshadow in Blacktied to define the lashline
MAC Eye Khol in Smolder to tightline and apply on the waterline
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Candid Violet to blend the Smolder on the waterline and smoke it out
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black to intensify the lashes

Lips

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Natural define the lips
MAC Lipstick in Angel to bring out the lightness on the lips
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige

With the hair I just blowdried and iron it a bit. Definitely wanted to cut my hair back to it's form 2 months ago but my sister is getting married on June so I need to grow my hair but after that I'm gonna cut it short again! Loving the short hair more than the long hair.
What do you think?

MONTHLY FAVOURITES: NOVEMBER 2015

Welcoming back my posts on favourite products for the month!!!

I know I had been failing to post continuously on my blog and that's because of personal things that I had been dealing with these past months and so. There's a lot of things that had happened that I have to put my priority first. It was something that I needed to do personally and deal with personally and I don't want to throw my depression and anger out there. But the good thing is I'm back and maybe because my sister inspires and motivate me to continue blogging. So thanks to her.

To get back on the routine of blogging here's my top favourite things for the month of November. Let's start with beauty products

Favourite Make up Products:

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation -
I had been loving the finish of my foundation with this on top of it. Even if I already wear a full coverage foundation I still seal it with this powder to give it a matte and perfect skin look. Honestly I was not into this product before and just kept it on my drawers with other unused products but when I started clearing out most of my make up I decided to give it a try and I just love it. Since then I had been using it everyday. I'm using the shade NC 40 because I noticed that with MAC Studio Fix Powder I had to go 1-2 shade darker. I am currently NC 25 or 30 with Stuio Fix Fluid Foundation.

MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2 -
What can I say about this lipstick? Oh that's right I love it so so so much! If I can wear it to sleep I will wear it that's how I love this lipstick, seriously! I's just the perfect colour that will make you look awake and there is something about this shade that makes me happy maybe because it's orange and bright and just yell sunshine. If you have a tan it will be perfect. I was wearing it the whole time when my husband and I went for a trip to Fujairah and enjoy the beach and sun, I just love it! Top fave!

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette -
I am a collector of Naked Palette and when Urban Decay announced the release of this palette I was like "No way, Why?!!!". I am very disappointed and I just don't like the idea at all. But when Gabriella or Velvetghost kept on saying how much she likes on most of her videos I was like okay let me try it and if I will not like it I will just give it to my sister. So I bought it and that's the start of my love with easy smokey look even became my everyday makeup look.

Favourite Skin Care Product:

Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser -
I'm a lover of Herbalism and had been using it for a couple of years now but suddenly my skin became dry so I need to change my skin care and the so I went to Lush and they let me try this product for days, they gave me a sample and after trying it for a week I went back and grab a tub and what I noticed is that it gave me a soft, clean feel after washing and it really leaves your skin moisturize and the smell is divine! Smells like a yummy nutty breakfast.

Olay Total Effects 7 in one Night Firming Moisturizer -
I as on the hunt for a good anti ageing moisturizer after reaching 30 and the change of my skin type I decide to try anti ageing products so for a start moisturizer is a good choice. So I ask my sister what's a good anti ageing moisturizer because she already started using it 3 years ago and she recommended the Olay. Since I trust my sister (sometimes) I bought one and seriously the next day your skin looks well rested. I think I just found my favourite night cream. I'm still not sure about the firming though.

Favourite Hair Product:

OGX Renewing Argan Oil of MoroccoWeightless healing dry oil -
What a mouthful!!! Actually I had been using this oil for I think less than a year since I retouched my Ombre and just because Ombre makes your hair really dry I know I need to have a product that will help my hair restore it's beauty. So Since then I had been using it even if I cut my hair really short now I still use it because I feel like it leaves my hair seriously soft and smell so good. My advice if you colour your hair all the time or style it with hot tools you might consider trying healing oil to bring back the life in your hair.

Non beauty Favourite :

IPAD Mini 4 -
I had the First IPAD Mini since it was released in 2012 and that's was my most precious possession. It never leave my side I bring it everywhere. It's my most used Apple Product more than my phone. It's where I do most of my editing like my blog, photos and I use it watch youtube will doing tasks as well as store important appointments, to do's, plans, reminders, office and books, though I still prefer my kindle when it comes to reading book. So due to updates of IOS it became slow and playing youtube was a pain and I end up not using it anymore until Apple opened a store in YAS MALL and when we visited it one time I saw the Ipad Mini 4 and decided to just buy a new one. It was a total relief and I'm so happy that I bought a new one it was way...way better than my old mini. Plus I love that it's Gold. Back with my best friend.

Current Favourite Song:

Sorry by Justin Beiber -
I am not a fan of Justin Beiber but I like his songs. I'm actually not expecting that his album will be that good but it is and it's really really good. I'm like dancing and singing and it's playing 24/7 in my house specially when I'm alone and my husband is not around. I'm like partying in Justin Beiber's beat.

Favourite Book :

The Magic String of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom-
I will not go more into this book because it deserve a full review. But if you are looking for a good book to read you will never go wrong with this. It's one of those book that when you start reading it you can't stop. I'm so happy that I bought this book and brought it on our small trip. It makes my heart break many time, but thought you more about ultimate forgiveness.

Favourite Game :

Splatoon
I was looking for a good 3ds game in youtube and I stumble on this colourful fun game and I was like I need this game right now and I don't even own a Wii U.  I know that there is a Wii U that comes with a Splatoon Game so I checked on a local store where I use to buy my games and they have it so I drove there and bought it and went home and that 1st week I didn't sleep well because I was like so into it and until now I'm so into it and even right at this moment thinking about it makes me wanna grab the pad and play. It's addicting and fun.

Favourite TV Show:

The Kitchen -
I love cooking show because I love cooking basically and most of the time when I had time to watch I'm watching either Food Network or E. So when I discovered The Kitchen which is aired from Monday-Friday every 6:00 pm. It's an hour program hosted by all star Food Network chefs. They give you tips on cooking, shows easy recipes, explore new kitchen products. What I like about this program is that the hosts characters and humor are so well balanced that they really shows cooking is fun and enjoying with friends and family.

5 LIPSTICK TO ROCK THIS WINTER

Change of season means change of trends again, and this time we're back to bold autumn-Christmas-holiday trend. So from the very colorful spring and summer we're jumping to plums and red for fall and winter. Personally, I love the cooler months than the warmer months because of the extreme heat we experience here in UAE plus every time it starts to get cold I feel like the Christmas is very very near which everyone loves, right?. And since I'm inspired right now with the coldness around me, I will share with you my few lipstick that I always wore whenever this season arrives.

This is my go to red lipstick that I always wore for some special occasion or dinner out with my husband or friends. Who never want's a red lipstick during this time of the year? The matte is very classic and I just love the matte finish on red lipsticks. Sometimes I also wear Riri Woo from Mac as well. The only thing about this lipstick is that it's a bit drying so you have to put balm on your lips before applying the lipstick.

This is my all year round if I wanted to rock a very bright pink lips. I use this on days where I wanted to tone down the red or plum lips. A good bold pink lipstick is a great alternative for a red lipstick and also it's a very girly kind of lipstick that's suitable for a more daytime wear. So if you're not into red or plum lips then I say go for a bright pink or fuchsia.

3. MAC REBEL
There were days when I wanted to feel bolder and this lipstick is my must have for that. This lipstick is on a dark plumier vampy lipstick. This has been a hit for fall look. Last year was the first time I tried plums because usually I only go for nude and pinks but not plums I never thought it will suit me but when I went to MAC and had the courage to try it, I was so surprised that it suits me. So now this lipstick is part of my top fall-winter must have.

If you have a tan skin or medium yellow skintone this colour will be a good choice for you. It's an bright orangey red and screams fun Autumn. The first time I saw it at MAC store I thought oh no no no this is a wrong colour it's too bright. But when I went back to MAC and tried it without hesitations bought it with the gloss. It was a matte but not drying at all. It's very comfortable on your lips. So if you were like me who has a more on medium yellow skin-tone. You will like this product.

This is my everyday daytime lipstick if I was going for a toned down look.  This is also a matte lipstick but because its very creamy it glides on perfectly on your lips and doesn't give you that drying feel on your lips. It's more on a pinkish with a brown tone to it perfect for this season. This is a bit pricey but a perfect dupe was a popular Revlon Matte in Sultry which I also have and sometimes switch between the 2.

6. MAC D FOR DANGER
Just because I can't leave this out I really need to include this on my Top. Let's just consider is as a bonus (wink). This is a brick red colour that a bit bolder than red lipstick. Of course a matte lipstick as well. I tend to not try brick reds because I feel like it makes me look older but this was an exemption to that. It does complement my skin and really lovely to any skintone. If you want something bolder than red try this shade and you will be in love.

So that's my top 5 fall-winter lipsticks. What's your's?

CHRISTMAS HONG KONG TRIP 2014

Just before I jump into Christmas season I wanna share our trip to Hong Kong last December 2014 just before Christmas.

We planned to visit my father last October for my birthday however due to some work stuff we decided to move the trip to December since we are already scheduled to travel to Philippines and just squeeze in the Hong Kong trip so I booked our flights and hotel after my husband agreed with the plan.

We stayed in the Philippines for 10 days and spent 4 days in Hong Kong. The temperature in UAE just before we leave was going down like 15 degree and when we arrived in Manila it was like 30 degrees. I knew by the sudden change of temperature that I will be sick and just before our flight to Hong Kong I was really ill like my nose are clogged and I am coughing. During our flight I was in pain because I can't hear anything and the pain in my head was just tormenting. Flying with colds was not a very good idea and I've learned my lesson the hardest way. I don't want to cancel our trip and my father was already expecting us.

First thing we do after we reached our hotel is drink a bottle of water and grab some medicines and rest for few hours and forget about me being sick and just continue with our itineraries. Of course I will never leave Hong Kong without eating on my favorite fastfood chain the Cafe de Coral which is just 3 mins walk from our hotel (Lucky me). Then, of course Mongkok to shop.

Second day was my sister's arrival so we planned on meeting her and walk around Kawloon where we used to live and did I already mentioned that I was so sick during that day but nothing can stop us specially when my sister is around.

Third day was Ocean Park day and dinner with on of my besties who live and work in Hong Kong too.

and dinner with on of my besties who live and work in Hong Kong too.

Last day was just malling and buying stuff plus search for my husband's favorite egg tart meaning walking for 30 mins using waze a very useful app when you're lost.

Though I am sick the trip was still fun and being back to Hong Kong feels like childhood days most specially walking through those streets where we used to walk and eating foods when I use to sneak out from my grandmother and being there with my sister and father like before, who cares if I'm sick.

MAC HUGGABLE LIPSTICK

I was so happy when they offered me to have a sneek peak on the MAC Huggable Collection when I was in the MAC last February and I made a reservation for some of the shades from this collection. Originally MAC released 12 colors for this collection and I bought 6.

MAC claims that this lipsticks can provide lasting finish that leaves lips smooth and sculpted up to 6 hours. I think the finish was more like a cremsheen to me that's why I like it but it's sheer that it somehow reminds me also of the lip butter lipsticks. I like also how it makes your lips moisturized though application was not as smooth as I want it to be but not like matte lipstick that you have to drag it. but once you applied the first coat it glides on well. I prefer to apply it over a lipbalm just a small amount then the lipstick so it will just glide on smoothly. The packaging is also nice, I like how they change the color not the classic black MAC packaging. I think this will be great for Spring because of it's texture and finish.

So the colors that I got are the Feeling Amorous,What a Feeling, Love Beam, Out for Passion , Fresh and Frisky and Touche.

Feeling Amorous is a mid-tone fuchsia
What a Feeling is a mid-tone cool pink
Love Beam is a mid-tone warm pink
Out of Passion is a soft warm rose
Fresh and Frisky is a soft neutral peach
and
Touche is a light beige
